2007 BMW Z4 M COUPE

This 2007 BMW Z4 M Coupe is an exhilarating yet practical sports coupe, which has superb service history, and which is presented in excellent original condition. Power comes from the 338bhp 3.2-litre straight-six S54 engine, driven through the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows 80,651 miles from new.

Supplied new via Dick Lovett BMW in Swindon, this Z4 M Coupe was first registered on 1 September 2007. It has evidently been well cared-for by its previous owners, and has been maintained exclusively by BMW main dealers and independent specialists, including the important running-in service in October 2007 at 1,413 miles.

The bodywork is in great shape, and is finished in the very rare hue of Ruby Black Metallic, which has a fantastic deep red tint when viewed in full sun. The only blemishes noted by the seller are light stone chips to the front bumper, which are shown in the media gallery, and a small chip in the windscreen. The latter has been noted only as an advisory on a few previous MOT tests, and is not affecting the driver’s view.

All of the light lenses, exterior trim and window seals are in very good order, and the car remains completely unmodified, with no aftermarket badging or grille embellishments. It rides on the original 18-inch ‘BMW style 224’ alloy wheels, which are in great condition, showing just a couple of patches of bubbling in the lacquer.

In the cabin, the car features M Sport seats upholstered in black Nappa leather, with full electric adjustment, as well as a memory function for the driver’s side. The leather itself presents superbly, with very little wear, and certainly no damage. Dashboard and centre console panels are accented by Piano Black lacquer trims, which are in good order with no cracks.

The leather-trimmed steering wheel features BMW M Sport tri-colour stitching, and the original gear knob is in sound condition. Cabin equipment includes the BMW Business stereo and CD player, as well as climate control.

Lifting the bonnet reveals an engine bay that is very clean and tidy, which is a testament to its impressive history. Its last scheduled maintenance took place in April 2019 at 78,628 miles, at independent BMW specialist BM Automotive in the West Midlands. This comprised renewal of the engine oil with 10W-60 Castrol Edge Professional, replacement of the oil filter, micro filter change, and Forte engine flush. A new offside wheel bearing was also fitted. In July 2019, the air-conditioning system was given a cleaning treatment and then re-gassed.

Prior to this, the car was also seen and serviced in April 2018 by the same specialist, which included renewal of the brake fluid, and in November 2016, which comprised an Inspection 1 service and health check at Rybrook BMW in Shrewsbury.

The most recent MOT test was carried out on 29 April 2019 at 78,628 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories whatsoever. Its certificate is still valid given the six-month extension, so is due for renewal on 28 October 2020.

The alloy wheels are shod in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres, in size 225/45 ZR18 at the front and 255/40 ZR18 at the rear. The front tyres are date-coded to 2014, while the rear tyres were manufactured in 2016. All four are in great condition with more than 6mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car is the original leather pouch containing the owner’s handbook, user guides and the stamped maintenance record. Two original keys are also present, along with the tool roll, tyre inflation air compressor, warning triangle, and locking wheel nut key.

The BMW Z4 M Coupe is a renowned driver’s car, and this example is in superb mechanical and cosmetic condition. An unmodified car with all of its original books, tools and accessories, it also boasts a wonderful rare factory paint colour. This is a great opportunity to acquire a sought-after modern classic that wants for nothing.
