2007 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER 2.2 JTS

This Alfa Romeo Spider is a low mileage example of the Pininfarina-styled Italian roadster, and is presented in the iconic Alfa Red colour scheme. Under the bonnet sits the 2.2-litre JTS inline-four petrol engine producing 182bhp and 170lb-ft of torque, paired with the six-speed manual transmission. The odometer currently shows just 23,553 miles from new.

This Spider was first registered on 24 March 2007 and has just one previous registered keeper on the log book. It has been in the vendor’s possession for the last 10 months. Throughout the Alfa’s life to date, it has been treated to regular servicing, despite the very low mileage.

The gleaming Alfa Red paintwork presents in superb condition, with the driver only noting two very small stone chips to the bonnet, which have been touched in. The driver has reported the protective plastic in front of one of the rear wheel arches has some minor wear, but that this is barely visible. There are also a few small scratches at the rear, pictured in the gallery, which the vendor believes would probably machine polish out.

The vehicle’s soft top roof works as it should and appears neat and tidy, showing no major scuffs, while the headlamp lenses and instantly recognisable front grille are undamaged. The body retains the original Pininfarina badges, and the 18-inch alloy wheels are in superb condition, with only some very light age-related fading to the Alfa Romeo emblems.

Inside, the black leather upholstery is in generally excellent condition, featuring dark red trim separating the centre panels and bolsters, which present with some light wear on the driver’s side, and what appears to be a small cigarette burn at the back of the passenger seat squab. There are also some small marks on the driver’s door trim, and some slight marking beneath the key fob entry. The dashboard and driver controls are in very good order, with no faults with any electrics and no warning lights showing.

The last service was undertaken in September 2020 at 23,171 miles, where technicians at Shropshire Automotive Services changed the engine oil and filter, before diagnosing and resolving a fault with the brake lights. Prior to this, in December 2019, the car was serviced at BOC Car Centre in Bolton at 21,718 miles, and in March 2018 at Hutchinson Motors in Sheffield, at 19,936 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 2 December 2019 at 21,718 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The vehicle rides on Pirelli P Zero tyres on all four corners, which the vendor reports are in reasonable condition.

Accompanying the vehicle is the original service book, which the vendor notes is stamped per the visits summarised below, though there is only paperwork for servicing during his ownership.
