KEY FACTS

• A superb example of the rare and hallowed 997-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS, finished in the vibrant hue of Pure Orange and with low mileage from new. 
• Under the rear engine lid is a ‘Mezger’ 3.6-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, delivering 409bhp and 298lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through an involving six-speed manual transmission.  
• This unmodified five-owner GT3 RS has covered only 17,008 miles to date, which is supported by servicing carried out exclusively by Porsche main dealers and one marque specialist. 
• It is believed to be one of only 123 UK-market right-hand drive examples produced, of which only 25 were finished in Pure Orange. 
• The seller notes that the car has not been driven on track, and has always been driven in dry conditions on the road. 

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES 

• The 997-generation 911 GT3 RS features the GT3’s Le Mans-derived ‘Mezger’ engine combined with a host of lightweight parts, including a single-mass flywheel, an adjustable carbon-fibre rear spoiler, a steel engine cover, and a Plexiglas rear windscreen, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 300hp per tonne.  
• This example is finished in the striking hue of Pure Orange with contrasting black decals over a black cloth and Alcantara-trimmed cabin. 
• It sits on a correct set of black 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with ‘RS’ centre caps, housing yellow callipers and shod with newly fitted Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. 
• The specification includes a colour-coded roll cage and centre console, red Schroth Racing harnesses, Carrera GT carbon-fibre seats, a trip computer, bi-xenon headlights, climate control, adaptive dampers, switchable sport mode, Sport Chrono, and a Porsche CDR-24 CD player.  
• The car is accompanied by the original owner’s book pack, a significant history file, warning triangle, two sets of keys, and a full set of spare CCM brake pads. 

CONDITION 

• There is no known bodywork damage. 
• The original paintwork and cabin are in excellent condition, displaying no significant flaws or signs of use.  
• Approximately three-quarters of the paintwork is said to be covered by PPF, and the car has been fully detailed by Supercar Detailing in Kent. 
• No notable blemishes are visible on the alloy wheels, and the tyres are new.  
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults.  
• The most recent MOT test was conducted on 17 July 2020 at 16,928 miles, when the car registered a clean first-time pass. A new MOT test will be required before the car is ready to drive on the road, but the seller states that it will pass with flying colours, and has only been taken off the road due to lack of use. 

SERVICE HISTORY 

• This 911 GT3 was last serviced in September 2020 at 16,955 miles by Porsche Centre Silverstone, who changed the engine oil, filters, spark plugs, and tyres.  
• Prior to this, Porsche Centre Tonbridge carried out a service in July 2018 at 16,119 miles, and Porsche Centre Mid-Sussex serviced the car in August 2015 in 15,670 miles. 
• Porsche specialist Parr cleaned and detailed the underneath of the car and sealed the components for protection.  
• New Porsche exhaust tips have been fitted.

SUMMARY 

The 997-generation GT3 RS is one of the most coveted models within Porsche’s famed 911 line up, and is a sublime driver’s car thanks to its communicative handling, lightweight construction, and sonorous naturally aspirated flat-six. This low-mileage, unmodified example is presented in excellent condition and whilst it would make a fine addition to any collection of modern supercars, promises to thrill its new owner on their favourite roads or tracks with a refreshingly analogue and involving driving experience.
