EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Created as a focused, lightweight version of the peppy Cooper S, the John Cooper Works GP did away with the standard car’s rear seats in favour of a substantial brace bar, helping to reduce its weight by approximately 50kg.
• Furthermore, the car’s ride height was lowered by 10mm, a limited-slip differential was fitted on the front axle and an aggressive aerodynamic kit was added, including a large carbon-fibre rear wing.
• As with all GPs, this example is finished in the appealing hue of Thunder Blue Metallic, with a white roof, red door mirror caps and Panther Black leather upholstery on its adjustable Recaro sports seats.
• Standard equipment includes air conditioning, a radio/CD player, grey instrument dials, a multi-function steering wheel and sun protection glass.
• It rides on the correct set of 17-inch alloy wheels, which are finished in black with diamond-cut faces.
• Included with the car is the original book pack with instruction manuals, a stamped service book and plenty of accompanying invoices and previous MOT test certificates.
• The factory tool kit, locking wheel nut, jacking blocks and original main-dealer number plates are also included along with two keys.

CONDITION

• No known body damage.
• The Thunder Blue paintwork is described as being in great condition overall, with a few minor marks around the car, including stone chips on the nose and a small indentation on the lower section of the front bumper. The seller also notes that a small area on the offside edge of the front bumper (just under the headlight) has received a blow-over respray at some point, and while acceptable it is noticeable on close inspection.
• Inside, the cabin is in good order, though there are minor signs of use throughout, including scuffs on the driver’s seat bolster, surface creases on both seats and scuffs to the plastic trim in the rear load area.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The car’s last MOT was carried out on 31 March 2021 at 46,611 miles, resulting in a pass with no advisory notices.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Mini’s most recent maintenance was carried out in June 2019 at 46,572 miles, when the technicians at MINI Park Lane changed the engine oil and oil filter.
• Prior to this, MINI Park Lane carried out an Inspection II service including an oil and brake fluid change in February 2017 at 46,489, and the owner changed the engine oil and filter in May 2015 at 45,981 miles.
