2006 MINI COOPER S CONVERTIBLE - 13,425 MILES

This 2006 Mini Cooper S Convertible is said to be the lowest mileage example currently available of this stylish open-top hot ‘hatch’, presented in very good order throughout. Under the bonnet sits a 1.6-litre supercharged inline-four engine producing around 170bhp and 162lb-ft of torque, coupled with a rare automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shift. The odometer currently indicates 13,412 miles from new.

First registered in May 2006 purchased from Park Lane Mini London. This Mini Cooper S is understood to have had just two private owners from new; the first for around eight years, and the second for the last six years.

The bodywork of this Mini is described as being in excellent condition, and to the best of the vendor’s knowledge, has never sustained any panel damage. The vendor notes the rear bumper presents with a minor chip, but otherwise there is a smooth and glossy metallic finish all around the car. The light lenses, body trims and twin exhaust tips all appear in good order, while the soft top convertible roof presents with no rips, tears or discolouration, and with the mechanism working perfectly. The car rides on a set of 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which have some very light scratching to the central badging, but otherwise remain in excellent condition on all four corners.

Moving inside, the seats of this Mini are upholstered with black leather, which remains entirely original, and presents with just some slight age-related creasing. The door cards, floor mats and primary contact points all appear in superb condition, and while the vendor has reported some minor scratches to the central column trim, the dashboard appears in very good order. All of the car’s electrics are reported to work as they should, and there are no warning lights present on the dashboard.

The last service was undertaken in September 2020 at 13,391 miles, where BMW specialist Ian Belcher Motor Tech in Poole changed the engine oil and filter before fitting new front brake discs and pads. The vendor reports the routine maintenance was also carried out in August 2018 at 13,106 miles, again by Ian Belcher Motor Tech, while in November 2014 at 10,553 miles, Best Autocentres in Winchester carried out an oil service and inspection.

The most recent MOT test was on 14 October 2020 at 13,406 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The wheels are wrapped in a set of run-flat Pirelli P Zero tyres, which were fitted in 2013, and are reported to have ample tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are all of the original handbooks, including the stamped service record and various user guides, as well as the factory toolkit. The cherished registration ‘C1 TTO’, a play on an Italian word for ‘small’ or ‘young’, is also included in the sale.

This Mini Cooper S Convertible is a fun modern classic performance car, which has genuine low mileage and is ready to drive and enjoy. An entirely original and unmodified example, its automatic transmission arguably makes it a great choice for urban driving in particular, but also makes it an effortless companion for weekend road trips.
