2006 LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO SPYDER - LHD

This Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is a remarkably low-mileage example of the thrilling open-top supercar, presented in a very rare factory colour. It is equipped with the glorious 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V10 producing 513bhp, paired with six-speed automated e-gear transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 16,415 km (10,200 miles).

Manufactured in 2006, this left-hand drive car was originally supplied via Lamborghini Frankfurt. It was imported to the UK in 2007, where it was re-registered on 1 May that year. Since then, it has had two previous UK keepers, before the current owner acquired the car in February 2017, purchasing it from Joe Macari in London.

Today, the bodywork and paint are described as being in generally excellent condition. Its Celeste Phoebe hue is a rare choice, which was also selected for the right-hand drive Gallardo Spyder owned by Rod Stewart, and sets this car apart from the more common colour schemes. There are some very minor marks and the odd chip in the finish, but overall the car still presents superbly. It rides on the original 19-inch five-spoke alloys, which have kerb grazes on both passenger-side wheels, and a smaller patch on the front left rim.

Stepping inside, the light blue exterior is complemented by dark blue leather upholstery throughout. There are some slight wrinkles in the leather on the driver’s seat base, and some light wear on the outer bolster, but in general the interior looks smart. Some small marks are also present on the dashboard panel, and around the edges of the driver’s door panel, while the sill cover plates are slightly discoloured. Factory equipment includes heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and the original media and navigation system. The vendor reports that the engine management light occasionally illuminates, but they have been advised by Lamborghini that it is not an item of concern, and is possibly just an exhaust sensor issue.

The last scheduled maintenance was in January 2017 at approximately 13,220km, carried out at Joe Macari. The book was not stamped during this service, and the vendor does not want to risk it being lost in the post by trying to add it now – but prospective bidders can of course confirm all the details with the workshop. The most recent MOT test was on 18 April 2019 at 15,885 km, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories or defects.

Accompanying the car is the original book pack and leather pouch, including the stamped maintenance record as shown in the gallery. The original tools and Lamborghini gloves are also present.

This Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is an alluring convertible supercar, which combines a beautifully balanced chassis with sharp handling and impressive comfort. Its low mileage will no doubt appeal to collectors, but this is a car that deserves to be driven and enjoyed on the open road, where you can relish the evocative character of the naturally aspirated V10 with the roof down.
