2006 FERRARI F430 SPIDER F1

This well-presented F430 Spider is a clean, ready-to-drive example in a classic Ferrari colour scheme. A great opportunity to live the drop-top Ferrari dream, the car comes with a 4.3-litre V8 engine producing 483bhp and the Prancing Horse’s ‘F1’ paddleshift gearbox. The odometer shows 45,221 miles.

This F430 was first registered on March 24, 2006, and has since passed through the hands of four previous owners. The current custodian has kept the car for three months.

The car’s bodywork is generally in good condition, with just a few minor stone chips. The front bumper has had remedial work carried out, and some spots of corrosion have been repainted. The iconic Rosso Corsa paint, though, is in excellent condition, and these images show that it still retains its lustre. 

This F430 pairs the classic red paint with Crema leather, which includes red contrast stitching and red carpets. There’s a yellow rev counter, too, and a carbon-fibre dashboard panel. Everything appears to be in good condition, with minimal wear and no obvious marks. The only major sign of use is on the driver’s seat bolsters, which have worn over the past 14 years. The seller also notes an issue with the passenger seat electrics, but says this will be fixed as part of the sale. Otherwise, everything is in good working order, and the features, which include climate control and electrically adjustable seats, are original.

This car was last serviced on July 15, 2020, when it had covered 44,500 miles. Carried out by DK Engineering, the work included a major service with new spark plugs and a new auxiliary drive belt. The company also fixed a misfire on one cylinder, eliminated a rear rattle and fixed the tail light mountings. Furthermore, DK Engineering also removed the wiring loom for a laser speed detection device, neatened the wiring under the dashboard and fixed a small issue with the door mirrors. Finally, the firm reinstalled a poorly fitting heater vent and refitted all the car’s undertrays and diffusers. This work, which cost more than £2,500 followed a service at Ferrari dealer JCT600 Brooklands in April 2018 and maintenance at the same dealership in March 2017. The latter work included some cosmetic refurbishment.

The most recent MOT test was on September 15, 2020, at 45,217 miles, which resulted in a clean pass. The car is currently shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres, which appear to have a reasonable amount of tread remaining. However, the seller does not know how long they have been on the vehicle.
