2006 BMW Z4M ROADSTER

This BMW Z4 M Roadster (E85) is an exciting modern sports car, presented in a desirable specification and in sound condition. It is equipped with the 338bhp 3.2-litre straight-six S54 engine paired with the six-speed manual transmission, delivering a truly rewarding driving experience.

First registered in June 2006, this Z4 M was specified from the factory in striking Interlagos Blue paintwork with its Nappa leather interior in Light Sepang Bronze. It was also optioned with electrically adjustable and heated seats, enhanced Bluetooth, multi-function controls, xenon headlights, wind deflector, and rear parking sensors. Its first owner remains the only private keeper from new, and the car is now offered by the trade.

Today, it’s bodywork remains in good condition, with the bright blue paint appearing smooth and even around the panels. A vehicle health check in July 2017 noted some slight damage to the offside front bumper, so this has likely been repaired and painted. The seller notes some stone chips around the common areas, and a scratch on the rear bumper. In his view, it would benefit from a thorough session with a professional detailer. The car rides on the original 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which are in very good order with no kerbing damage.

The heated Nappa leather seats are in excellent condition, with very little noticeable wear to the upholstery. The cabin also features the carbon-fibre effect leather trim on the dashboard and centre console, a leather steering wheel with BMW M Sport tri-colour stitching, and embossed ‘M’ monograms in the headrests. There are light marks on some of the interior plastics, but in general the interior presents very smartly. Its factory-fitted equipment includes the BMW Business radio and CD player, climate control, and rear parking sensors. The only fault noted by the seller is that the driver’s side window is currently inoperative, and likely requires a new regulator.

Mechanically, the seller reports that this Z4 M Roadster is in very good order, and it has been looked after by the same main dealer from new - though the franchise changed hands and was renamed. Its last scheduled service was at main dealer Partridge Hampshire BMW in February 2020 at 52,257 miles. This consisted of an oil service, with renewal of the micro-filter element and the brake fluid. Other paperwork in file notes that the rear shock absorbers were replaced in July 2017, and that it had a new alternator drive belt and anti-roll bar mounts fitted in April 2015.

The most recent MOT test was on 28 May 2019 at 50,997 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. Given the six-month extension due to Covid-19, the certificate remains valid until 23 December 2020. Its wheels are shod in Continental SportContact 3 tyres in size 225/45 ZR18 at the front and 255/40 ZR18 at the rear. They are date-coded to 2014 and remain in good condition, with around 4mm of tread.

All of the original handbooks are present, including the stamped maintenance record, as well as the removable wind deflector and the tool kit. Its original dealer sticker is still in place in the rear window, and the dealer-supplied key rings and tax disc holder are also included.

This BMW Z4 M Roadster is a one private owner car, still fresh from a recent service, and finished in a superb factory colour scheme. It remains original and unmodified, and delivers exhilarating performance. Fewer than 1,000 are understood to have been built in right-hand drive, so this Z4 M is undoubtedly a collectable modern classic, and ready to thrill on the open road.
