2006 BMW 760Li (E66)

This BMW 760 Li is a superb example of the marque’s rare and range-topping executive limousine of the mid-noughties. Under the bonnet is a smooth 6.0-litre V12 producing 439bhp and 443lb-ft of torque, powering the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The odometer reads 76,701 miles.

First registered on 30 October 2006, this 760 Li is an original, UK-market model with four previous keepers on the log book. As a long wheelbase car, it is given the ‘E66’ moniker as opposed to the standard wheelbase ‘E65’. The current vendor has owned and enjoyed the car for nearly one year.

Resplendent in deep Monaco Blue, this 760Li has evidently been well-cared for by its owners. The paint finish is believed original to the car, with some stone chips visible on the bonnet and front bumper, clearly shown in the photo gallery. A minor graze is present on the nearside door, while there are also scuff marks present on the rear bumper. The light lenses, glass, bright window surrounds and door handle grips present well with no damage, and the car retains its V12 wing badges and model designation. It rides on the correct model-specific 20-inch ‘Style 149’ alloy wheels, which are in superb order with no kerbing damage.

Inside, this executive express is loaded with creature comforts cementing its position as the pinnacle of the 7 Series range. Among the highlights are electrically-adjustable and heated memory seats for the front and the outer rear occupants, with all exhibiting only light signs of use and no rips or tears in their coverings. This model also benefits from a TV tuner, electrically-operated window blinds, sunroof, CD and DVD changers, and a Logic 7 surround-sound system. The vendor asserts that everything is operational in the car and that there are no warning lights active.

The 760Li’s most recent service was carried out in September 2019 at 74,420 miles by TH Boler Automotive of Warrington. This entailed replacement of the engine oil and necessary filters, as well as all twelve spark plugs. During the vendor’s ownership, this 760Li has also benefited from a new sunroof seal and cleaning of the sunroof drains, new parking halo bulbs and a replacement battery. The most recent MOT test was on 12 November 2020 at 76,712 miles. This was a first-time pass, with no advisories; the tester noting only the presence of factory fitted engine and underbody covers. All four tyres have covered around 1,500 miles, so remain in excellent condition.
