2006 AUDI RS4 AVANT

This 2006 Audi RS4 Avant is a superb example of the marque’s high-performance estate, which benefits from a cosmetic overhaul and presents in excellent condition. Under the bonnet is a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8, which drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and Audi’s Quattro four-wheel drive system. The odometer currently indicates 110,297 miles from new.

First registered in September 2006, this RS4 Avant has now been with its current keeper for four years, and has just three previous keepers on the V5C. It was specified from the factory in the handsome Daytona Grey hue with black leather upholstery, and with the options including the Black Optic Pack, Technology Pack, Piano Black inlays, heated seats, electric sunroof, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, six-disc CD changer, and a powered tailgate. The steering wheel has been swapped to the sought-after flat-bottomed sport wheel, though the original is included; and the head unit has been changed to a more contemporary Pioneer media system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, though again the original unit is also available.

To the best of the vendor’s knowledge, the bodywork of this estate has never sustained any damage, and it has flush shut lines and smooth panels all around the car. It has undergone a respray to remove a number of age-related stone chips and scratches, and the Daytona Grey paintwork now presents in superb order. The headlight lenses and body trims appear to be in great shape, while the car rides on a set of 19-inch alloy wheels, which are in good order on all four corners.

Inside, the condition of the black leather upholstery has been described as good, presenting with just some age-related creasing. The vendor indicates the driver’s seat has had one bolster re-trimmed, though the remainder of the upholstery is believed to be original. There are some light scratches and scuffs on the door card and dashboard plastics, commensurate with the mileage, though all of the switchgear is reported to work as it should and there are no warning lights on the dashboard. Its upgraded Pioneer media system adds valuable modern connectivity to this RS4, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in March 2020, where technicians at Revolution Porsche in Birstall changed the engine oil and filter, and brake fluid, and carried out a general inspection. Prior to this, a minor service and brake fluid change were carried out in June 2019 at 109,917 miles, while during the major service in 2018 the car also received new spark plugs. The vendor indicates the engine has been carbon cleaned and remapped, while the often problematic swirl flaps have been removed.

The most recent MOT test was on 19 December 2020 at 110,265 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The wheels come wrapped with Continental tyres, all of which are reported to be like new.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manual and service book, an extensive maintenance history and the original sales brochure, plus two keys and the two original valet keys.
