2006 AUDI (B7) RS4 AVANT

This 2006 Audi RS4 Avant is a well-maintained example of the high-performance estate, which benefits from numerous tasteful upgrades to both its performance and appearance. Powered by an all-aluminium 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine coupled to an engaging six-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels, this example has covered 115,700 miles.

First registered on 11 November 2006, this example is finished in the sought-after colour combination of Phantom black over black Valcona leather and optioned with the desirable Black Optics Pack, interior carbon inlays, Recaro bucket seats and flat-bottom steering wheel.

The car is factory-standard except for the suspension, which was upgraded in 2018 at 103,565 miles to a Bilstein B14 coilover setup to replace the often-problematic factory DRC suspension.

The vehicle’s paintwork is in good overall condition, with a minor smattering of stone chips to the bonnet area and front bumper which would be deemed as superficial for the age and mileage of the vehicle. Some corrosion to the driver’s side mirror mounting has occurred, which the vendor informs us is quite common and an inexpensive part to purchase from Audi directly. All four of the 19-inch alloys have been refurbished within the last 100 miles and present in spotless condition. They have had brand-new Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tyres fitted to the front and the rear tyres have 3-4 mm of tread.

Inside, the condition of the interior presents well. The desirable factory-option ‘wing backed’ front seats are in good condition, though the outer bolster on the driver’s seat is showing signs of wear, as does the leather on top of the steering wheel. There is a small scuff in the leather of the driver’s door card and an impression on the corner of the glovebox. The vendor informs us that the armrest requires a new hinge that can be sourced and fitted for little expense. There are no warning lights on the dashboard and all the electrical systems and switchgear are operating as they should.

The most recent maintenance took place during March 2021 at 115,154 miles where the technicians at Old Mill Garage carried out a full front bush and control arm refresh using the complete Meyle HD kit, Lemforder OEM spec top mounts and 034 Motorsport torque mount. Complete front driveshafts were replaced and additional work included, two parking sensors, front tyres, tracking and alignment and the nearside pre-cat lambda sensor. The cost of the work totalled £1,342 with additional invoices for the parts totalling £1,500.

The most recent service carried out by JT Motors in October 2019 at 111,826 miles comprised of a major service including Longlife oil and filter change, new fuel, air and pollen filters, eight spark plugs, differential oil and gearbox oil. A full summary of the service history is shown below.

The most recent MOT test was on 11 March 2021 at 115,141 miles, which was a pass with advisories to monitor worn brake discs and corroded hose ferrules, along with some binding of the rear brakes.
