2006 AUDI (B7) RS4 AVANT

This 2006 Audi RS4 Avant is a very well-maintained no-expense-spared example of the high-performance estate, which benefits from numerous tasteful upgrades to both its performance and appearance. Powered by an all-aluminium 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine coupled to an engaging six-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels, this example has covered just 72,588 miles.

First registered on 27 October 2006, this example is finished in the sought-after colour combination of Daytona Grey over a black interior and has been fitted with discerning modifications by the current owner.

The standard suspension has been upgraded and lowered with a set of KW V3 coilovers, while the original exhaust has been swapped out for a non-resonated valved Miltek system with black tips. Inside, the factory fitted steering wheel has been upgraded to the desirable flat-bottomed item, along with an aftermarket Kenwood touchscreen stereo with front-facing camera replacing the Audi item.

The vehicle has undergone a three-day paint correction and enhancement detail by Max Protect so the Daytona Grey paintwork is in excellent condition, with a minor smattering of stone chips to the bonnet area which would be deemed as superficial for the age and mileage of the vehicle. Some corrosion to the nearside mirror mounting has occurred, which the vendor informs us is quite common and an inexpensive part to purchase from Audi directly. All four of the 19-inch alloys are in immaculate condition having undergone a full refurbishment at MMAK in Watford. They have had brand-new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres fitted along with new sensors. The wheels have been ceramic coated using Gtechniq C5 wheel armour. The wheels and tyres were mounted back onto the vehicle just days before the photos were taken and have covered less than 10 miles.

Inside, the condition of the interior is very good. The desirable factory-option ‘wing backed’ front seats are in good condition, though the lower and outer bolsters on the driver’s seat are beginning to show signs of wear, while there are light marks to the rear shells of both seats and around the gearstick. Should the upgraded stereo and steering wheel not be to the new owner’s liking, both original items are available with the vehicle. There are no warning lights on the dashboard and all the electrical systems and switchgear are working as they should. This particular example benefits from having a Tracker installed.

The most recent service took place during February 2021 at 72,458 miles and was carried out by performance car specialist Voodoo Motorsport. The work carried out comprised of a major service including a longlife oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, fresh spark plugs, new fuel and air filters, a new clutch and flywheel, eight new injectors, eight new coil packs, an air-conditioning service, suspension refresh using the complete Meyle HD kit, and the fitting of the aforementioned KW V3 coilover suspension. During their ownership, the vendor has ensured that this B7 has been kept in impressive mechanical condition, and has addressed a number of usual ‘problem areas’ with the RS4. A full de-carbonisation process and intake manifold de-flap was carried out during July 2020, along with the gearbox and differential oil being replaced. All brake discs and pads were renewed with Brembo front and Pagid rear brake discs complete with Ferodo DS2500 brake pads.

The most recent MOT exam was carried out on 27 January 2021 and resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. Included with the vehicle is the extensive service history folder, Audi handbooks, two sets of keys and a comprehensive stack of invoices from work carried out.
