2006 ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH S

This 2006 Aston Martin Vanquish S is a dashing British grand tourer, presented in very good condition throughout and with low mileage. Under the bonnet is the S-specification 520bhp 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12, which drives the rear wheels via a six-speed semi-automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer currently indicates 29,589 miles from new.

First registered in January 2006, this US-market left-hand drive Vanquish S was sold new in Las Vegas, before being exported to the UK in 2016 and registered with the DVLA in October the same year. The seller has owned the car for nearly two years.

This refined Aston Martin’s elegant bodywork presents very well, and has not suffered from any accident damage to the best of the vendor’s knowledge. Its Onyx Black paintwork is described as being in good condition, with a few marks from road use including stone chips to the front end, light ‘road rash’ marks on the sills and rear wheel arches and faint scratches on the boot lid, door edges and rear bumper; however, these are minor issues. It rides on the correct set of 19-inch 11-spoke alloy wheels, which are in great shape and are free of any substantial scuffs or marks.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in smooth Onyx Black leather, which is offset by light grey leather door cards. The heavily bolstered, electrically adjustable seats also feature matching grey Alcantara centres, and are in good order, with only minor wear and creasing to their bolsters. While the dashboard was retrimmed in black leather with white stitching in August 2019, this was done to a very high standard, and the work is all but undetectable.

The diamond-stitched Alcantara headlining provides an extra interest point in the cabin, and the black carpets present well – though the vendor notes that there are some adhesive stains behind the seats. Factory-fitted equipment includes climate control, heated front seats, and an infotainment system with satellite navigation. There are no issues with any of the interior electrics, and no warning lights on the dashboard.

This Vanquish S’ most recent routine maintenance was undertaken in March 2021 at 29,569 miles by Chicane Classics Ltd, comprising a general inspection and road test. Prior to this, Chicane Classics carried out a general fluid service in July 2019 at 29,411 miles and replaced the front shock absorbers. Aston Martin Works serviced the car and replaced the PAS pipe, engine vacuum hoses and rear exhaust mounts in July 2017 at 29,221 miles.

The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 17 December 2020 at 29,537 miles, which resulted in a clean, first-time pass. Both of the rear wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, which date to 2015 and have 7.2mm of usable tread remaining. At the front, the wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S items, which were manufactured in 2019 and have 7mm of tread left.

This appealing Aston Martin will be accompanied by its original manual and un-stamped service book, its current logbook and a number of invoices for its past maintenance. It will also be supplied with four of its past MOT test certificates, its New Mexico title and its 2016 vehicle history report from its time in the US.

This Aston Martin Vanquish S is a superb example of the marque’s potent ‘super GT’, which boasts timelessly handsome styling and a sonorous V12 engine. Well-presented and with low mileage from new, it will make an excellent addition to any supercar collection, and is sure to delight its next owner whenever they get behind the wheel.
