2006 ASTON MARTIN V8 VANTAGE

A modern British icon, this Aston Martin V8 Vantage is both a refined and involving sports car in superb condition. Powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.3-litre V8 engine that produces 380bhp, the car’s six-speed manual gearbox further adds to the engaging driving experience. The odometer shows 67,302 miles from new.

First registered on 1 September 2006, this stunning example has enjoyed a number of previous owners in its lifetime, with the most recent offering it for sale after one year and two months of ownership.

The Vantage’s paint finish remains original since its application at Aston Martin’s world-class facility, Gaydon. Age-related stone chips on the front bumper, one stone chip on the passenger side front wing, a small patch of bubbling under the driver’s door, and on the edge of the door handles, can be found. The car’s original 19-inch alloy wheels complement the darker silver body colour, with no damage noted by the owner. At time of specification, the optional six bar front grille and clear rear lights were also added.

Inside, the leather interior is original and in good condition for the car’s age, with the only notable wear being on the driver’s side seat bolster from ingress and egress over the years. Featuring the first iteration of the Vantage centre console in dark grey, this example is fitted with the standard silver jewellery pack, while both original door sill plates have been replaced by carbon fibre pieces. The optional sports seats and premium audio were also specified. All of the interior switchgear are reported to work as they should.

The vehicle was most recently serviced in February 2020 at 64,689 miles by Jaguar & Aston Martin Specialists Ltd in Sittingbourne. The car underwent a significant level of work including changes to the engine oil, engine oil filter, air filters, pollen filters, front brake pads, rear brake pads, front end auxiliary driver belt and tensioner and the sump oil bypass filter o-ring.

The service prior to this was carried out in December 2018 by Aston Engineering at 58,949 miles with the engine oil, engine oil filter, brake fluid, sump oil bypass o-ring, underbody coating, ceramic paint coating also carried out. In May 2017 at 53,969 miles, the Vantage was also treated to renewed engine oil, an engine oil filter, new anti-freeze, pollen filters, sump plug, sump oil bypass o-ring and oxygen sensor by Aston Martin Chichester. In fact, all of previous services have been completed by either Aston Martin dealers or specialists. In April 2016, the owner also notes that the clutch was replaced at 47,190 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on the 24 August 2020 at 67,069 miles, which resulted in a clean pass. The tyres are the correct AM9 stamped Bridgestone Potenza’s, with the front tyres are in good condition and the rears are brand new after being fitted in August 2020.

The Vantage comes with the original stamped service book, including five supporting invoices. It will also come with a remote exhaust valve controller which has never been fitted.
