2005 RENAULTSPORT CLIO 182

This Renaultsport Clio 182 is a tidy example of a modern classic hot hatch, which has enjoyed low-mileage use with its current owner. Its 2.0-litre, naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine produces 180bhp, coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox. The odometer currently indicates 85,634 miles from new.

First registered in November 2005, this Clio has six previous keepers on the log book, and has been in the vendor’s ownership for nearly four years. During this time, the owner has covered around 2,000 miles per year and the vehicle has received regular maintenance.

The Clio’s glossy, black finish is understood to have been resprayed, and the seller has applied a ceramic coating application twice a year to keep it in good order. The seller notes that to the best of their knowledge the car has not sustained any damage to the body. The vendor has pointed out a small area on the offside rear panel where the paintwork has bubbled, though the vehicle presents very well overall. At the previous two service intervals, carried out in March 2019 and March 2018, the owner dealt with an airbag light problem, a minor water leak in the boot due to a misaligned seal, and fitted a new exhaust centre bracket, brake caliper, rear brake discs, pads and bearings. The offside rear coil spring was also replaced.

Notably, the vehicle received a brand-new engine in 2011 due to a broken timing belt, and this 2.0-litre motor has covered approximately 17,255 miles. The most recent cambelt change was in September 2017.

The car's last MOT test was on 19 September 2020 at 85,969 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. Two new Falken tyres were fitted to the front wheels in November 2019 and all of the tyres are in good condition.
