2005 OLD SKOOL PANHEAD CHOPPER - CUSTOM BUILD

KEY FACTS

• A superb attention-grabbing Panhead Chopper custom dubbed ‘Old Skool’; built by Paul Moody (‘Tooty’) of Thundercity Motorcycles as part of the 2004 TV series, The British Biker Build Off.
• It is powered by a 1475cc ‘Revtech Pandemonium’ engine, coupled to a ‘five and four’ gearbox.
• It has undergone an extensive refurbishment and has been stored in a climate-controlled facility.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• During its refurbishment, the engine was rebuilt and fitted with S&S Performance parts, a three-inch open drivebelt and a big bore kit, comprising larger valves and an upgraded crank.
• With points ignition, it can be started by either a kick-start with de-compressors or the electric starter.
• It also features rear sprocket brakes, chrome forward controls, a bespoke exhaust system, an ‘Old Skool’ motif on the seat, and the letters ‘BBFL’ (Bay Boys For Life) engraved on the fork tops.
• Its V5 and DVLA certification will be included, along with a copy of The Biker Magazine in which it was featured, and a DVD copy of British Biker Build Off. 

CONDITION

• There is no known prior bodywork or frame damage.
• Its red and white paintwork is in superb order, having been freshly restored to its 2004 appearance. The brightwork is also in excellent condition. 
• No electrical faults have been detected.
• The vendor also states that there are no leaks, and that the bike is in fine running order.
• The most recent MOT test was on 8 April 2021, which resulted in three advisories to monitor cracking in the front tyre, slight play in the front wheel bearing, and a noisy exhaust.

 SERVICE HISTORY

Its most recent service was in March 2021, where technicians at The Old Boys Motorcycle Workshop in Poole replaced the engine oil, filter, spark plugs and distributor, before greasing the joints and bearings, re-wiring the electrics and performing a full inspection.

SUMMARY

This Panhead Chopper dubbed ‘Old Skool’ is a unique custom creation, built by Paul Moody of Thundercity Motorcycles as part of the 2004 TV series of The British Biker Build Off. It is thought to be the last in-tact build from the show, and having been faithfully restored back its bespoke specification, it would now make a head-turning addition to any collection, which draws a crowd wherever it goes.
