2005 MERCEDES-BENZ CLK 200 'ELEGANCE' KOMPRESSOR

This 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK200 Kompressor is a refined two-door coupé, with exceptionally low mileage and just two owners from new. Under the bonnet sits a 161bhp 1.8-litre supercharged inline-four engine, coupled to the 5G-Tronic automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates just 5,966 miles.

First registered in September 2005, this CLK200 has been with its current keeper for two years, with only one previous keeper on the V5C.

The bodywork of this CLK is all in good shape, and the rare Cubanite Silver paintwork is in excellent condition. Commensurate with the very low mileage, only a few very minor marks can be seen on the paint and trims. The vendor notes that a minor scratch has been professionally repaired, while the car’s 16-inch wheels appear pristine.

Inside, the black cloth upholstery is in superb condition, with no notable blemishes and virtually no perceptible wear. The fabric door card inserts are in great shape, and the brown ash wood veneer which accents the window controls and centre console is also in excellent order. A Panasonic 9800 infotainment system was fitted to a very high standard in 2019, and no electrical faults have been detected with any of the switchgear or gauges.

The last scheduled maintenance was undertaken in January 2020 at 5,087 miles, where technicians at Cawte Garage in Southampton carried out a Mercedes Service A, changing the brake fluid and pollen filter. Prior to this, in September 2017 at 3,326 miles, technicians at Shawfix Autos in Southampton changed the engine oil and filter, and again in September 2009. In September 2007 at 585 miles, the car’s first service was carried out by marque main dealers in Southampton.

The most recent MOT test was on 29 October 2020 at 5,897 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manuals and service record, along with a raft of maintenance invoices.

This Mercedes-Benz CLK200 Kompressor Elegance is a collector-quality example of an elegant coupe, which has been well-maintained despite its exceptionally low mileage. Other than a modern infotainment system, it remains original and unmodified, and is ready to be cherished as a barely used modern classic gem, or to be put into service as a stylish regular driver.
