2005 LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO SE - MANUAL

This 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo is a stunning example of the limited-edition SE series, restricted to just 250 units worldwide. Boasting sport suspension, enhanced steering, a new design of alloy wheel and a two-tone colour scheme, the Gallardo SE is a rare and thrilling supercar. It is equipped with a 5.0-litre V10 producing 513bhp – 20bhp more than the standard car – coupled in this case to the desirable six-speed manual open-gate transmission with shorter ratios. The odometer currently indicates just 28,331 miles from new.

This Gallardo SE is an original UK-market car, and was first registered in November 2005. There are three previous registered keepers on the log book, and it has been owned by the vendor for the last four years – though the car has been known to him since 2012. This is car number 80 of the 250 examples built.

There is no known prior damage or repairs to the bodywork, which presents in excellent condition. The SE is distinguishable from the regular Gallardo by its black roof and engine cover, creating the unique two-tone appearance, as well as black wing mirrors, and black front and rear spoilers. Commensurate with the car’s low mileage, the Giallo Midas finish presents superbly, with the vendor noting no significant blemishes, and only minor marks from road use that you would expect. It rides on the SE’s specially designed 19-inch Callisto split-rim alloy wheels, which present in very good order.

Moving inside, the SE features a two-tone interior further distinguishing it from the standard Gallardo, with Giallo Midas stitching, piping, door panels and console inlays. The leather upholstery presents with minimal wear to the driver's seat and some minor rippling in the leather on the driver’s door. Embossed in the headrests is the Lamborghini shield, while the Lamborghini script also appears on the dashboard.

Additional equipment on the SE model includes a rear-view camera, multimedia screen, and sport steering wheel. There is some wear around the steering wheel rim and on the driver’s floor mat, as well as scratches on the exposed spherical metal gear knob, but these do not detract from the overall impressive presentation. The vendor has reported no electrical faults and no warning lights present on the dashboard.

The last service was undertaken in September 2020 at 28,297 miles, at Aldo Riti’s renowned Riverside Performance Engineering business, when the engine oil, filters, spark plugs and coil packs were changed, and new rear brake hoses were fitted. In August 2020, the vehicle received a new starter motor and battery.

Other recent work has included new front brake pads and discs fitted in February 2018 at 28,345 miles, and a service by Lamborghini Pangbourne in November 2017 at 28,146 miles. It has been maintained exclusively by main dealers and one specialist from new, and a summary is included below.

The most recent MOT test was on 7 July 2020 at 28,294 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. In fact, other than a failure because of a faulty registration plate light in 2012, the car has never failed an MOT test, and never even had a single advisory. The car’s wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres all round, in fitment 235/35/ZR19 at the front and 295/30/ZR19 at the rear, which the vendor notes remain in good condition.

Accompanying this Gallardo are the original owner’s manual and stamped service book in their factory wallet, along with a file of service invoices and MOT certificates. Also present are the Gallardo’s original toolkit and two keys. Furthermore, the cherished registration ’80 LXA’ is also included in the sale.
