2005 FORD GT - 101 EDITION

KEY FACTS

• This Ford GT is a low-mileage example of the marque’s flagship noughties supercar, and one of only 101 original European cars built.
• Under the bonnet lies a 5.4-litre supercharged V8 producing 550bhp and 500lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
• The odometer reads only 4,050 miles, with this example being one of the original EU-supplied cars. Delivered new to Germany, the car was imported into the UK by supercar dealer Joe Macari in 2015 and then sold to the present owner.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Specified in red, this early GT was also equipped with the painted body and side stripes, as well as the optional BBS wheels.
• The GT will include its original car cover plus soft indoor cover, original battery charger and box and original tyre inflator.
• The original CD player will be included, alongside two keys, two Cobra tracker fobs and the car’s handbooks and VIP Information Pack in metal case.
• Model specialist GT101 undertook a rear bumper delete, while an X-pipe exhaust system has also been added. Both the original bumper and exhaust system will also be included in the sale.

CONDITION

• No known body damage.
• The red paintwork is believed to be original throughout and remains in excellent condition.
• The black leather upholstery shows only minor signs of use around the seat bases and outer bolsters.
• The vendor reports that there are no dashboard warning lights illuminated, but that the passenger-side electric window occasionally sticks.
• The most recent MOT test was on 16 June 2021 at 4,088 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories whatsoever.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The most recent service was carried out at model specialists GT101 at 3,800. This was a full service, including recall work for the airbag inflator, at a cost of over £2,900.
• Prior to this, four new Bridgestone Potenza Scuderia tyres were fitted, which still have ample tread remaining.
• A multi-point service was carried out upon importation in 2015 at 1,873 miles.

SUMMARY

This Ford GT is a very well-presented example of the acclaimed 205mph analogue supercar, and is one of the original 101 EU-specification cars built. Offered in great condition and with all of its original features and accessories supplied, it would make a fantastic weekend toy and a rare breed to display at car shows.
