KEY FACTS

• A lightly modified example of the handsome Italian grand tourer, which benefits from a recent major service.
• It is powered by a 532bhp 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V12, which drives the rear wheels via a six-speed ‘F1A’ automated manual transmission with paddle shift.
• The car was purchased by the current owner in Hong Kong and has recently been imported to the UK. The car was originally ordered new in Hong Kong via local dealer Auto Italia but spent time in the UK from near-new where it remained until 2009, when it was sent back to Hong Kong and registered.
• The car is now located in England and would require re-registration in the UK as it is still on Hong Kong plates.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• This 612 Scaglietti is still finished in its original colour of Grigio Silverstone.
• After the current owner acquired the car in 2019, a red wrap was removed, along with a boot-mounted rear wing. The car has been equipped with aftermarket carbon mirror casings, carbon fuel filler flap, and carbon outer door handles.
• It is fitted with Hamann side skirts, and 21-inch five-spoke Forgiato alloy wheels with good tyres. The car will also come with a second set of 19-inch Novitec wheels with Ferrari centre caps. The tyres on the Novitec wheels are old and will need replacing if the next owner wishes to use them.
• The rear diffuser has been painted in the body colour, and the car is fitted with rear parking sensors, an aftermarket reversing camera, and Scuderia Ferrari wing shields.
• Inside, the car has red leather upholstery throughout, though with black leather for the dashboard top panel and the rear parcel shelf.
• Gloss-finish carbon-fibre extends across the dashboard, and the steering wheel is trimmed in red leather with the carbon-fibre Driver Zone and carbon shift paddles.
• Factory equipment includes electrically adjustable memory front seats, and dual-zone climate control.
• The car now has a double-DIN aftermarket media system, which is connected to the reversing camera.
• Accompanying the car is a replacement owner’s manual and leather wallet, plus a 612 Scaglietti workshop manual, and partial service history for the last few years. The stamped service book is not present.

CONDITION

• There is no known prior bodywork damage, so the car is assumed to retain its original panels.
• The Grigio Silverstone paintwork is in generally good condition. It was previously wrapped in red vinyl, but this was removed around two years ago. Some areas of the original paint required a touching up after this removal was completed, and there are some minor blemishes in the finish as shown in the gallery below.
• Inside, the red leather upholstery presents very well overall, though does have some scuffing on the driver’s seat outer bolster. There are slightly ‘sticky’ finishes to some of the switchgear, but the air conditioning and door mirror controls were recently replaced.
• Its black leather has shrunk and slightly wrinkled on the passenger front airbag cover, though this is a frequently foible of Ferraris of this era.
• Ahead of the driver, the TFT screen displaying the digital temperature gauges, mileage, and fuel level, has a delaminated and damaged appearance; however, the screen itself still works. The driver’s side window also has a minor fault.
• The most recent roadworthiness inspection took place in November 2019 when the car was still in Hong Kong, which it passed with no warning or alerts.
• The owner reports that the engine is strong, and that the clutch still has plenty of life remaining.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Its last scheduled maintenance was around August 2020. This comprised renewal of the cam belts and a full service by an independent garage.
• In 2020, the F1 gearbox was also rebuilt at Ferrari dealer Blackbird Concessionaires, and the water pump was replaced. The car has barely been driven since this point.

SUMMARY

This Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a stylish modern-era GT car, which is finished in a rare factory colour scheme, and which benefits from a major service. While there are a few areas that the next owner may wish to tidy up in due course, this is a solid example, and is offered in very good mechanical order.
