2005 FERRARI 360 CHALLENGE STRADALE

KEY FACTS

• A superb example of the thrilling limited-run supercar, finished in a timeless factory colour scheme and presented with very low mileage from new.
• Under the engine lid is the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre ‘Tipo 131’ V8, which sends up to 420bhp to the rear wheels via a six-speed ‘F1’ automated transmission with paddle shift.

• The Challenge Stradale is up to 100kg lighter than the standard 360 Modena, and features carbon-ceramic brakes, tuned suspension, revised gearbox software and modified bodywork, allowing for a 50% increase in downforce.
• This example was specified in the ever-popular hue of Argento Nurburgring over a black leather-trimmed interior.
• It rides on the correct 19-inch BBS ‘Challenge’ wheels, which frame a set of black-painted brake callipers.
• Its original owner’s manuals, service book and tool roll will be included, along with a detailed record of maintenance invoices and sales documents.

CONDITION

• There is no known bodywork damage.
• The car’s partially resprayed Argento Nurburgring paintwork is in very good shape, though a few minor blemishes can be seen on the leading edge of the bonnet, around the Scuderia wing shields and above the front registration plate.
• Some age-related scratches can be seen on the rear diffuser.
• Inside, the black leather upholstery is believed to be entirely original, now displaying a handsome ‘patina’ and only a few faint indentations and creases.
• As is common in Ferraris of this era, the rubberised coating on some of the interior buttons and switches has become ‘sticky’ with age, however there are a number of specialists who can correct this.
• There is also some light surface wear to the heater controls and vent surrounds. 
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 2 October 2019 at 26,497 miles, which resulted in a clean, first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This 360 Challenge Stradale’s most recent maintenance was carried out in August 2021 at approximately 26,000 km, when the technicians at DK Engineering replaced the cambelt and spark plugs as part of a major service.

Please note: this car’s colour was incorrectly recorded as ‘Black’ with DVLA upon first registration in the UK, but this error was rectified in January 2015. It left the factory in Argento Nurburgring and has never been any other colour.
