KEY FACTS

• A superb example of the Cosworth-powered featherweight sports car, presented in fantastic condition following a full rebuild.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Representing an extensive redevelopment of the ‘Seven’ concept, the CSR features a redesigned suspension system with inboard dampers at the front and double wishbones at the rear, along with reworked aerodynamics and a host of interior changes.
• Rebuilt in 2017 by Caterham specialists Kenrick Motors, the car’s chassis, body panels and carbon-fibre wheel arches were replaced with items from Arch Engineering.
• Originally orange, it was repainted in the modern Mini hue of Pepper White with a Fiat Verde Guacamole racing stripe, and features its original black leather upholstery.
• The car rides on a bespoke set of 15-inch Billet Ultralite alloys from Image Wheels, which feature gold centres with polished rims, and are in great shape.
• This CSR 260 will be supplied with a comprehensive file of service receipts and MOT test certificates. The seller is also providing the car’s original set of alloy wheels, which require refurbishment, as well as its two keys and immobiliser fobs.

CONDITION

• Having lost traction on wet leaves in 2016, the car’s body and chassis were damaged, and were then replaced by marque specialist Kenrick Motors with parts from original Caterham supplier Arch Engineering, including a correctly stamped chassis. The car remains HPI clear.
• Described by the seller as being in outstanding condition, the recent paintwork presents beautifully, with a smooth and glossy appearance around the car and no visible marks or blemishes.
• Furthermore, the black vinyl hood fits snugly over the frame below, and is free of any rips or tears.
• Inside, the cabin is in great shape, and while there is some very minor creasing to the driver’s seat upholstery, this is only noticeable upon close inspection.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults, nor are there any warning lights showing on the dashboard.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 30 July 2020 at 15,010 miles, resulting in a clean, first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Caterham’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in August 2018 by Moto-R, who changed the engine oil and filter and performed a general inspection of the vehicle, following the ground-up rebuild that was completed in 2017.
