2005 ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH S

This 2005 Aston Martin Vanquish S is a refined British super GT, presented in a handsome black and red colour scheme and with low mileage from new. Under the bonnet is the 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12, which sends 520bhp to the rear wheels via a six-speed semi-automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The odometer displays just 34,805 miles from new.

Originally sold and registered by Stratstone of Wilmslow in March 2005, this UK right-hand drive example is now offered for sale by the trade, having been with the last private owner for two years.

The car’s elegant bodywork presents very well, and is not believed to have suffered from any accident damage. Its Jet Black paintwork remains in excellent condition, with a glossy shine across the entire body. The seller notes that there are some stone chips in the common areas, and that the finish is bubbling towards the bottom edge of the boot lid; however these are minor issues.

The bright polished accents adorning the rear window surround, wing vents and boot lid are all in good order, as are the light lenses. This Vanquish S sits on the correct set of 19-inch 11-spoke alloys, which are in great shape, with only minor marks including some small kerb scratches to the edges of the rear wheels.

In the cabin, the 2+2 seating is clad in Obsidian Black and Chancellor Red leather. Both the front and rear seats are in very good order, showing only slightly creasing and minimal signs of use on the bolsters, and with small indentations to the leather at the rear.

A small scratch is visible on the dashboard, just below the ‘Reverse’ switch and there are some scuffs around the ignition barrel, but these issues do not detract from interior’s overall impressive condition. The vendor has reported no issues with any of the interior switches or electrical items and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

This Vanquish S’ most recent routine maintenance was carried out in September 2020 by HWM Aston Martin, Walton-on-Thames and included an oil change, replacement of the oil filter and oil pan drain plug, and cleaning of the fuel injectors. Prior to this, the car was serviced in May 2017 and April 2016 by Aston Martin Edinburgh.

Its last MOT test was conducted on 1 July 2020 at 34,743 miles, when it achieved a clean, first-time pass. The wheels are fitted with a set of Yokohama AVS Sport tyres in size 255/40 ZR19 at the front and 285/40 ZR19 at the rear. All four are described by the vendor as being in excellent condition.

Accompanying the car are its original owner’s handbook and service book, as well as the factory-fitted umbrella, which is still mounted to the underside of the boot lid.

This Aston Martin Vanquish S is a handsome example of the marque’s muscular super GT, powered by a sonorous V12 that allows it to make swift and effortless progress across great distances. Well-presented both inside and out, this low-mileage example would make a fine addition to any collection of supercars or modern classics, and is sure to delight its next owner on the road.
