2005 ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH S

This 2005 Aston Martin Vanquish S is a handsome British supercar, with very low mileage and excellent maintenance history. This example is finished in a sleek Pendle Black finish with an Obsidian Black interior. Its 5.9-litre V12 engine produces 520bhp – 60bhp more than the standard Vanquish – coupled with a six-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shift. The odometer currently indicates just 24,750 miles from new.

First registered in March 2005, this Vanquish S has been enjoyed by five previous registered keepers, with the six owner acquiring it seven years ago, and keeping up the impressive Aston Martin dealer and specialist service history.

This Vanquish’s bodywork is reported to be in good order, and to the best of the vendor’s knowledge has never suffered any accident damage. The car comes fitted with paint protection film (PPF) on the front bumper, as well as sections of the bonnet and front wings. There is a small scuff in the middle of the front splitter and another on the nearside rear wheel arch, as well as some stone chips to the front bumper, wings and rear quarters ahead of the wheel arches – though the vendor notes the front end stone chips are predominantly on the PPF itself.

Overall, this Vanquish S clearly presents well, with the black colour scheme contrasting perfectly with the bright polished accents for the fuel cap, rear window surround, wing vent strakes and the boot lid trim. A small soft dent is present at the bottom of the passenger door, though this may be a good candidate for a paintless dent removal process. The vehicle rides on 19-inch 11-spoke alloy wheels, which remain in good order showing only minor blemishes.

Moving inside, the 2+2 seating layout is upholstered with Obsidian Black leather, which presents with some slight cracking to the front seats commensurate with the age, but otherwise appears in excellent order. The only more significant wear is some scuffing to the leather around the key barrel, as shown in the image gallery. The steering wheel, dashboard, and door trims are in great shape, and the black leather is subtly accented by red stitching throughout. The vendor has reported no issues with any interior electrics and no warning lights on the dashboard.

The last service was undertaken in March 2019 at 24,734 miles, where technicians at HWM Aston Martin in Walton-on-Thames changed the engine oil and filter, before replacing the battery and front windscreen wipers. Prior to this, the car was serviced by the same dealer in September 2016 at 24,711 miles, and before this by Nicholas Mee & Co in November 2014 at 24,695 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 24 March 2020 at 24,746 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. Two weeks earlier it had initially failed due to worn suspension rod ball joint dust covers, which were evidently replaced. The vehicle’s wheels are wrapped in Yokohama AVS Sport tyres all round, and the vendor has reported around 6mm of tread remaining on both front tyres and 5mm remaining on both rears.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manual and service book in their factory leather folder, alongside a number of sales invoices, two keys and two fobs.

This Aston Martin Vanquish S is a superb example of the breed, which has been kept in secure, heated storage for several years. While the next owner could choose to refresh some of the paintwork to produce a pristine finish, this is still a well-presented car, which the vendor says drives very well and with a wonderful exhaust tone. If you have been seeking a low-mileage and well-maintained Vanquish S, then this is an opportunity not to be missed.
