2005 ASTON MARTIN DB9

This 2005 Aston Martin DB9 is a very smart example of the marque’s elegant and highly capable grand tourer, with excellent service history and low mileage. It is equipped with the 5.9-litre V12, producing 450bhp and 420lb-ft of torque, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission with ‘Touchtronic’ paddle shift.

The elegant bodywork is all in superb order, and the condition of the Midnight Blue paintwork has been described as excellent. The front and rear bumpers present with some light stone chips, though these are commensurate with the mileage, and the DB9’s handsome grille is free of any unsightly blemishes. The 19-inch alloy wheels are in very good order, with no kerbing damage. At the rear, the tail lights have been upgraded to the later style clear lenses.

Inside, the Phantom Grey leather presents in good order, with some age-related wear, and slight discolouration on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat. The vendor notes that the headlining has been replaced, so is now in pristine condition, while the walnut veneers on the dashboard are in good order. There are some minor scratches and marks on the interior trim, but in general the cabin is a smart place to spend time. It is equipped with satellite navigation, climate control, and rear parking sensors. All of the switchgear is reported to work as it should.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in November 2019 at 44,159 miles, where technicians at Aston Martin Newcastle changed the engine oil and filter. Prior to this, Stratstone Amersham carried out recent routine servicing in October 2018 at 42,724 miles, October 2017 at 42,146 miles, and October 2016 at 40,803 miles.

The car is booked in for a fresh MOT test on 25 March 2021, so it will be ready with a new 12-month certificate for the next owner. Prior to this, the most recent MOT test on record was on 23 October 2019 at 43,623 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The Bridgestone tyres are reported to be in good condition, with between 5-7mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are all of the original handbooks, including the stamped service booklet and navigation system DVD, as well as a raft of maintenance invoices. The car also comes with a bespoke DB9 car cover and a trickle charger.
