2004 ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM

This 2004 Rolls-Royce Phantom is a superb example of a sublime luxury saloon, presented with an exquisite two-tone colour scheme and an appealing special-order specification. Under the bonnet sits the famously smooth 6.75-litre V12 engine producing 454bhp and 531lb-ft of torque, coupled with a ZF six-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 72,842 miles from new.

Launched in 2003, the seventh-generation Phantom was the first Rolls-Royce designed after BMW acquired the marque, and is the model credited for re-establishing the marque's reputation for unparalleled luxury and quality. First registered in May 2004, this example has been with its current keeper for the last five years. The car has appeared at many Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club rallies, winning the Elegance Rosette in 2017.

The bodywork of this Phantom is in excellent condition, and to the best of the vendor’s knowledge, has never sustained any accident damage. The vendor notes the two-tone Titanium and Platinum paintwork gives this Phantom a significant and striking presence on the road, and while some light marks can be seen around the front end and on various pieces of chrome trim, these are commensurate with the mileage, and the overall condition is still very impressive. The Spirit of Ecstasy peers serenely from the grand radiator and the vehicle rides on a set of 22-inch Rolls-Royce wheels, which have a few minor kerbing grazes but no major damage.

In the cabin, this Phantom features a full Oatmeal leather interior; as well as two-tone wood trim across the dashboard, door caps, centre consoles, and the rear picnic trays. The condition of the interior has been described as excellent, and though some light age-related creasing can be seen on the seat bolsters and centre panels, they remain in good order.

Up to four occupants can travel in the utmost comfort, with this car having been specified with the individual rear seat option. All four seats have their own air-conditioning zones, and are also heated. All of the electrical items are believed to work correctly, and the cabin comes complete with the marque’s famous door-mounted umbrellas.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in October 2020 at 71,848 miles, where marque specialist Curtis Johnson Ltd carried out a service and a brake fluid replacement. The fuel pumps and sensors were also replaced by Curtis Johnson Limited in January 2021. Prior to this, similar routine maintenance was carried out in September 2019 at 70,126 miles and in July 2017 at 60,913 miles, both by the same specialist. The vendor indicates the vehicle has also received replacement injectors, ignition coils, fuel sensors, headlights and windscreen wipers during their ownership.

The most recent MOT test was on 5 October 2020 at 71,671 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The wheels come wrapped with ‘white wall’ pinstripe Goodyear Eagle tyres, three of which were fitted at 57,199 miles and are in sound condition, and with the nearside rear tyre having been replaced around 12 months ago due to a puncture.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original handbook and service book, as well as the original battery charger and full toolkit. The battery charger is wired-in for ease of use.

This Rolls-Royce Phantom is a clean example of a supremely comfortable and refined limousine, with its nameplate recognised among enthusiasts as the pinnacle of luxury motoring. Benefitting from regular specialist maintenance, a superb colour scheme and high bespoke specification, this award-winning Phantom would make a sublime chauffeured vehicle or could easily be enjoyed by an enthusiast driver.
