This Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a wonderful four-seater grand tourer, presented in a smart factory colour scheme, and fresh from a major service. It is powered by the 5.7-litre ‘Tipo F133’ V12 engine, producing 532bhp, and driven through the six-speed ‘F1A’ electro-hydraulic automated manual transmission. The odometer shows just 30,725 miles from new.
First registered on 5 October 2004, this 612 Scaglietti was supplied via Maranello Sales at Tower Garage in Egham. There are four previous owners recorded on the V5C log book, and the current registered keeper acquired the car around eight years ago. Having enjoyed this Ferrari on the road for a few years, covering some 7,000 miles, the owner decided to put the car into storage in mid-2014, when it had just over 30,000 miles on the odometer. He put the car back into occasional use more than five years, following a thorough inspection and service.
The aluminium body panels remain in great shape, with no dents or scrapes noted by the seller. It has almost certainly had some remedial paintwork over the years to rectify minor blemishes such as stone chips to the front end, and the Grigio Titanio finish presents very well indeed, with a smooth and glossy appearance around the car. The front wings feature factory-fitted Scuderia shields.
There is no damage to any of the window glass, and the light lenses are all original and free of cracks or chips. The body trims around the front lip spoiler and rear diffuser are in sound condition, and the rubber seals around the windows and doors are also in very good order. The optional 19-inch modular alloy wheels are in great condition, and are accented by the red painted calipers around the brake discs.
In the cabin, this 612 Scaglietti is trimmed in Bordeaux leather with matching carpets. There is black leather for the dashboard top and door caps, and aluminium trim accents around the interior. All of the hide is in very good condition, with no rips or tears, and only minimal wear present on the driver’s side bolsters. The front seats feature full electric adjustment.
Factory-fitted equipment includes dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, and the Bose surround-sound system. It also retains the original Ferrari-branded Becker stereo head unit with CD changer and satellite navigation. All of the switchgear works as it should, and there are no known electrical faults.
This car has been looked after exclusively by main dealers and leading Ferrari specialists throughout its life. The last scheduled maintenance took place in February 2020 at Kent High Performance Cars in Maidstone. It consisted of a full service, as well as renewal of the camshaft timing belts, which means the belts are not due again until February 2025.
A full summary of the stamped service history is included at the bottom of the listing. There is a gap in the maintenance history between 2014 and 2019 while the car was in storage, but it has since been serviced twice by Kent High Performance Cars.
The most recent MOT test was on 4 February 2020 at 30,703 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories whatsoever. The test before this was in 2014, which evidences the fact that the car was off the road in the interim. Its alloy wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres, in size 245/40 ZR19 at the front and 285/40 ZR19 at the rear. The tyres all have approximately 4mm of tread remaining.
Accompanying this Ferrari is the leather book wallet, housing the owner’s manual, stamped guarantee and maintenance record, and all other factory literature.
This Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a great example of the breed, with genuine low mileage from new, and benefiting from an impressive specification. Its smart cosmetic appearance is supported by comprehensive mechanical work undertaken within the last year, including a fresh belt service less than two months ago. This is a coveted V12 grand tourer in the classic Ferrari tradition, and will undoubtedly delight its next owner wherever they choose to drive it.
