2004 FERRARI 575M MARANELLO - FIORANO HANDLING PACK

This Ferrari 575M Maranello is a characterful high-performance grand tourer, which remains in excellent condition, and features the coveted Fiorano Handling pack. It is powered by the 508bhp ‘Tipo F133 E’ 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V12, coupled to the F1 six-speed automated manual transmission. The odometer shows 29,800 km (18,516 miles) from new.

It was specified from the factory in the elegant Argento Nurburgring colour, complemented by a cream leather interior, and ‘Nuovo Cuoio’ carpets. The main dashboard trim was a special order finish in beige leather. The Fiorano Handling pack was also fitted at the factory, along with Scuderia wing shields.

Supplied to Japan when new, it is understood to have had only one private owner in Asia, before it was exported to the UK a few years ago. The seller has owned the car since then, covering around 3,000 km in the last three years.

All of the body panels are in excellent condition, with no dents or other damage, and with impressive shut lines. The Argento paintwork presents very well, with the seller noting a minor stone chip on the offside wing, as well as smaller chips around the front bumper area. There are no cracks or chips in the headlights, though there is a minor paint blemish near the passenger side headlight, and the rubber seals are aged and starting to perish slightly at the corners. The other body trims are in good order, and the car rides on the 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which have only minor blemishes.

Inside, the electrically adjustable seats are upholstered in cream leather, which extends to the centre console, dashboard and door cards. All of the leather trim is in great shape, with no rips or tears, and only signs of light use commensurate with the low mileage. The climate control works as it should, and all of the switchgear is in good order. Where most 575Ms had a black section around the instrument binnacle and centre panel, this car was ordered with a special colour dashboard element in beige leather to mirror the carpet colour, with the trim extending to the roof pillars. It also has the optional leather headlining in cream.

Its last scheduled maintenance was in 2016 at 26,210 km, which consisted of a major service, including renewal of the cam belts, auxiliary belts, and spark plugs. Within the history file are various receipts from maintenance work in Japan, which support the low mileage. The car had a running-in service in July 2005 at 739 km, and there are four subsequent maintenance records from Japan at 1,113 km, 6,301 km, 9,741 km, and 16,785 km.

The most recent MOT test was on 2 June 2020 at 29,794 km, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres in size 255/40 ZR18 at the front and 295/35 ZR18 at the rear. They are date-coded to 2010, but still have plenty of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car is the original owner’s manual and other user guides, though the service booklet is not present. There are several invoices from its life in Japan, as outlined above, as well as a spare key.

This Ferrari 575M Maranello is a superb example of the marque’s V12 flagship, which is finished in a smart factory colour scheme, and has the desirable Fiorano Handling pack. Its performance is impressive even today, capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 202 mph. With genuine low mileage, this 575M would make a fine addition to any Ferrari collection.
