2004 ASTON MARTIN DB9

This 2004 Aston Martin DB9 is a superb example of the marque’s coveted grand tourer, with genuine low mileage and in excellent condition throughout. Under the bonnet sits the 5.9-litre V12 producing 450bhp and 420lb-ft of torque, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission with ‘Touchtronic’ paddle shift. The odometer indicates 45,892 miles from new.

First registered in September 2004, this DB9 has been owned by its most recent private keeper for nearly 10 years. It has evidently been well maintained, serviced regularly by Aston Martin main agents and independent specialists.

The bodywork is all in good shape, while the condition of its sleek silver finish has been described as excellent. There are a few very light stone chips on the front end, though the finish retains a consistent shine and the DB9’s iconic grille presents very well. The rest of the body trims, headlight lenses and windows are all in good order. The car rides on a set of 19-inch wheels, which have some paint damage and kerbing grazes, so would benefit from refurbishment to match the quality of the bodywork.

Inside, the black leather upholstery which covers the seats is in excellent condition, presenting with just some light creasing. The leather-clad door cards and the dashboard console are accented with wood veneers, which are free of any notable marks, and the cabin remains entirely original and unmodified. There is some slight wear to the headlining by the driver’s door, but overall the interior remains in superb order. All of the switchgear is reported to be in good working order.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in February 2018 at 45,586 miles, where technicians at Aston Martin specialist Trinity Engineering in Woking replaced the engine oil, brake fluid and battery. Prior to this, in March 2016 at 44,903 miles, Trinity Engineering also carried out routine maintenance, and again in November 2014 at 44,212 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 2 February 2021 at 45,859 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The wheels come wrapped with a set of Bridgestone tyres, which are reported to be in good condition.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original stamped service book, showing evidence of an excellent main dealer and specialist maintenance history, along with two keys and two fobs.

This Aston Martin DB9 is a luxurious and high-performance grand tourer, presented in excellent condition and having been well-cared for throughout its life to date. While it has largely been in storage for the last year, it now has a very recent advisory-free MOT, and deserves to be thoroughly enjoyed on the open road by its next owner.
