Fitted with the reliable 2.5-litre Td5 engine, this Defender uses a five-speed manual transmission with permanent four-wheel drive. The odometer displays 143,233 miles from new.

First registered on 30 September 2003, this Defender has had only two owners from new. The current vendor, who has owned the car for two years, has overseen the installation of many desirable upgrades, continuing the rigorous maintenance started by the first owner.

The bodywork of this Defender is in excellent condition with flush shut lines, and with no evidence of any accident damage. It has recently been treated to a full bare-metal respray in dark blue, giving the car a stunning high-gloss finish. Even the load bay is in excellent order, highlighting the detail of its sympathetic partial restoration.

The vendor advises that a full undercarriage refurbishment has been carried out, with new fixings and bolts throughout. The chassis was sandblasted, given a triple layer paint treatment, and finished with Waxoyl. This presents in excellent order, belying the true mileage of this utilitarian workhorse. The rear tub has also been treated with Raptor paint for everyday use. New lights have also been fitted, which are free of damage. A full set of refurbished ‘Boost’ 16-inch alloy wheels from the 50th Anniversary model are fitted, pushed out in the arches with wheel spacers, helping to give the Land Rover a more aggressive stance.

The cabin, which seats three people, has been extensively re-trimmed with a new Alcantara roof headlining, new leather door cards, and new Bentley-grade seat upholstery. The black leather features blue stitching and is complemented by blue seat belts, echoing the external hue of this Defender. It has also been well sound-proofed and with a full premium carpet set. All of this trim is in very good condition with no rips, tears or imperfections in the materials.

Key contact points, including the Momo Prototipo steering wheel, gear and differential lock levers, and the handbrake are in good order. The seller reports that everything works correctly, with no electrical gremlins. An aftermarket Sony head unit with hands-free capability is installed, enhancing day-to-day practicality.

This Land Rover was last serviced in July 2020 by Defender specialist Hawkeye Automotive in Northern Ireland, with standard annual maintenance carried out. The most recent Northern Ireland MOT test was on 21 July 2020 at 143,320 miles, which the seller states resulted in no warnings or alerts about the condition.

The Defender wears matching General Grabber A/T2 off-road tyres, with the exception of the load bay-mounted spare, which utilises a Dakar Desert Track item. All of the tyres are in good condition, with plenty of tread remaining.
