This Lamborghini Murcielago is a well-presented example of one of the last great analogue supercars, benefiting from a recent mechanical overhaul. Power comes from a mighty 580bhp 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V12, driving all four wheels via an open-gate six-speed manual transmission.
The car was delivered in May 2003 to its first owner via Lamborghini dealer S.A.M. Twelve in Monaco. It was acquired by the vendor in Italy last year, and is currently unregistered, having previously been on the road in Germany.
Its bodywork is in excellent condition, with flush panel gaps and no evidence of any prior damage. The car has previously had some remedial paintwork to keep it looking fresh, and aftermarket LED fog lights have been installed in the front bumper. The light lenses and body trims are generally in very good order, though the tail lights have some slight damage. It rides on original 18-inch Speedline split-rim alloys finished in black, housing black brake callipers and orange ‘Lamborghini’ logos.
Inside, the upholstery is in very good order, having been re-trimmed during the first ownership as the individual preferred a more vibrant colour scheme. The seat centre panels were replaced with orange leather, and the same theme applied to the door panels and dashboard. The centre console around the stereo is carbon-fibre, while the car retains its original steering wheel and gear shifter. There are no known electrical faults.
During 2020 and 2021, the car received a mechanical overhaul, which included a full service, as well as a fitment of a new clutch, and refurbished of the front suspension with the addition of a front lift system. The differential was also replaced. Accompanying the car are all of the original books from the factory. Four brand-new Pirelli tyres have been ordered, and will be fitted before handover to the next owner.
This Lamborghini Murcielago is a thrilling modern supercar, which is finished in a menacing colour scheme with custom interior trim. The combination of a powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine and a manual gearbox will make this a compelling opportunity for any fan of analogue performance cars.
