2003 FERRARI 575M F1 - FIORANO HANDLING PACK

This Ferrari 575M Maranello is a very smart grand tourer, presented in a perennially popular colour scheme, and with the desirable Fiorano Handling pack. It is powered by the 508bhp ‘Tipo F133 E’ 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V12, coupled to the F1 six-speed automated manual transmission. The odometer shows 49,684 miles from new, which is supported by comprehensive service history.

The first car to wear a Ferrari badge was equipped with a V12 engine and painted red, as was the first Ferrari to win at Le Mans. Shades of red are synonymous with the marque - none more so than Rosso Corsa. This 575M has contrasting black leather, as well as the optional 19-inch modular alloy wheels The ‘Fiorano Handling’ package significantly improves the handling, with stiffer springs, thicker anti-roll bar, uprated brake pads, and adjustments to the wheel geometry.

The car was first registered in November 2003, and was supplied by Maranello Sales at the famous Tower Garage in Egham. There are just three previous keepers on the log book, and the most recent private owner has had the car for 11 years, accounting for 44,000 miles of the total. It boasts superb service history, with regular visits to the same main dealer throughout its life.

The bodywork and paint are in good condition, with the only blemishes noted by the dealer seller being some touched-in stone chips in the bonnet, as well as in front of the headlights. The car has almost certainly had some paintwork over its life to keep it looking sharp, but there is no sign of any accident damage and it has a clean HPI report.

The front wings are embellished with Scuderia shields, and the 19-inch split-rim wheels are in superb condition. It has the standard factory brakes, which are accented by red painted calipers. All of the light lenses and body trims are in great shape, as are all of the window seals.

In the cabin, the seats, dashboard, centre console and door cards are all trimmed in black leather. The upholstery remains in very good condition, with only modest wear commensurate with the age and mileage. The leather is complemented by red carpeting throughout, which is in great shape, as well as tailored floor mats. There is factory-fitted climate control, and the original stereo head unit is also present.

This car has superb service history, having been maintained exclusively by Maranello Egham throughout its life. The last scheduled visit was in February 2019 at 49,504 miles, which consisted of an annual service. It was also seen by Maranello in February 2018 at 48,513 miles, and in February 2017 at 48,084 miles, with the latter including renewal of the spark plugs.

As the camshaft timing belts were last replaced in 2016 at 45,912 miles, the car will be given a fresh service with new cambelts fitted by Kent High Performance Cars, before being released to its next owner. The clutch was renewed in 2013 at approximately 40,000 miles, and as with all other maintenance, this was carried out at Maranello Egham.

The most recent MOT test was on 9 March 2020 at 49,681 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories whatsoever. The wheels are fitted with Bridgestone Potenza tyres all round, in size 255/35 ZR19 at the front and 305/30 ZR19 at the rear. The front tyres are date-coded to 2017 with around 6mm of tread, while the rear tyres were manufactured in 2019 and still have 7mm remaining.

Accompanying the car is the original leather wallet, containing all of the books and literature, including the owner’s manual and stamped maintenance record. There is also a raft of invoices from Maranello that further evidence the service history. Stored in the boot is the factory-supplied tool kit, which is complete.

This Ferrari 575M Maranello is a wonderful grand tourer that has recently come out of long-term cherished ownership. Its performance is hugely impressive even today, capable of 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds, and with a top speed of 202 mph. The timeless colour scheme of Rosso Corsa with a black interior gives this 575M great road presence, and it also benefits from comprehensive history at the same Ferrari main dealer from new. The car will be given a fresh service and cambelt replacement in the event of a successful auction, so that the next owner can simply enjoy this superb Ferrari straight away. The 575M is a fine companion for long-distance travel, especially with the F1 transmission, and this is an example that is ready for many more miles.
