2003 FERRARI 575M MARANELLO - FIORANO HANDLING PACK

This 2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello is a superb example of the marque’s handsome grand tourer, equipped with the Fiorano Handling Pack and with genuine low mileage. It is equipped with a 5.7-litre, naturally aspirated V12 producing 508bhp and 434lb-ft of torque, coupled with Ferrari’s ‘F1’ automated manual paddle shift transmission. The odometer currently indicates just 42,279 km (26,271 miles) from new.

First registered in March 2003, and supplied from the factory to Japan, this 575M has been in the UK since 2016, but was only re-registered here in 2018. There have been two private owners since it arrived in the UK, with the most recent acquiring the car just over two years ago.

The ‘Fiorano Handling’ package significantly improves the handling of the 575M, with stiffer springs, thicker anti-roll bar, uprated brake pads, and adjustments to the wheel geometry.

The sculpted bodywork of this 575M Maranello is in excellent condition, with no evidence of any prior accidents or repairs. This example is finished in Nero paintwork, which is described as being in excellent condition, presenting with what appears to be just a few stone chips on the front bumper, splitter and bonnet; though the headlight lenses and windscreen appear to be free of marks or damage. The exhaust tips and rear badging remain pristine, while the vehicle rides on the optional 19-inch five-spoke modular alloy wheels, which sit in front of red brake callipers and present with minimal wear. The vendor reports an upgraded exhaust system has been fitted, complete with switchable valves.

Moving inside, this 575M Maranello retains its original beige leather upholstery with ‘Daytona’ style seat panels. It is in excellent condition, with just some very light creasing to commonly worn areas such as the bolsters and seat bottoms. The Ferrari-badged metal door sills appear free of any major scuffs, as do the door cards and key contact points. As is shown in the image gallery, there is a very minor spot of damage to the carpet over the transmission tunnel. A modern Pioneer stereo system has been installed, and all of the buttons and switches around the cabin work as they should. It features the optional leather-trimmed luggage shelf, which is in great shape.

The last service was undertaken in September 2020 by H.R. Owen Ferrari, where technicians changed the engine oil and filter. The vendor reports this 575M has always enjoyed regular servicing from Ferrari main dealers, supported by various maintenance receipts. The last major cambelt replacement service was in November 2019 at 40,686 km, also carried out at H.R. Owen.

The most recent MOT test was on 16 March 2020 at 41,565 km, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The wheels come wrapped with Pirelli P Zero tyres on all four corners. Its original briefcase toolkit is still present.

This Ferrari 575M Maranello is a great example of the millennium-era flagship GT, which remains as handsome today as when it was built. The next owner should thoroughly enjoy wringing out the performance of this remarkable V12, with numbers that are still impressive today: capable of 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds, and with a top speed of 202 mph. If you have been looking for a low mileage 575M to join a collection, or see it as an appealing route into Ferrari ownership, then this could be the ideal example.
