2003 ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH - 2,138 MILES

This Aston Martin Vanquish is an astonishing example of the flagship grand tourer, presented with remarkably low mileage and in as-new condition throughout. Under the bonnet is the 5.9-litre V12 engine producing 460bhp, with rear-wheel drive via a six-speed paddle shift automated manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential. The odometer shows just 2,138 miles.

First registered in July 2003, this stunning V12 coupe has just two previous keepers on the V5C, and was acquired by the vendor last year. The car remains in its original factory specification, finished in a striking shade of blue, with an interior of blue and light grey leather; with aluminium-look trims around the doors, centre console, and steering wheel.

Its bodywork is original and undamaged, with smooth panels and flush shut lines throughout. The paint is in pristine condition, with a deep and glossy lustre all around the car. All of the brightwork is in superb order, with no pitting or other damage, and has been polished to a mirror shine. The window seals and other body trims are in excellent order, as are both exhaust tail pipes, and the original 19-inch alloy wheels.

Stepping inside, the interior is in wonderful condition - both looking and smelling like new - with only the slightest signs of naturally ageing to its blue and grey leather upholstery. The front seats are electrically adjustable and feature perforated centre panels, with the same finish applied to the rear seats, and the colour theme continuing across the door cards and quarter panels. Its headlining is light grey Alcantara, and was specified with the optional diamond-quilted finish, which remains in excellent order. It also retains the original glovebox tool kit. There are no known electrical faults, and no warning lights present.

For the first 10 years of its life, this Vanquish was used sparingly but was regularly serviced, initially at the supplying Aston Martin dealer, Murray Motor Company, and then at Aston Martin Works. Between 2014 and 2019, the car was off the road in dry storage - evidence by the lack of MOTs during this period - and was subsequently given an oil change service in May 2019 at 2,077 miles at Aston Martin Works. A full summary of the service history is included below.

The most recent MOT test was on 24 July 2020 at 2,084 miles, which resulted in a clean pass. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the mileage, the Vanquish has never failed an MOT test, nor had so much as one single advisory note. Its tyres are the correct Aston Martin fitment Yokohama AVS Sport items, reported to have 7-8mm of tread on all four corners.

Accompanying this Vanquish is the original handbook folder, including the stamped maintenance record, plus invoices for a number of previous services. Two keys and remote fobs are also present, as well as a battery trickle charger and the original navigation DVD.

This Aston Martin Vanquish is a powerful, refined and handsome hand-built grand tourer. It is almost certainly the most well-preserved example in the UK, and likely the nearest thing to being able to buy a brand-new car today. Despite its incredibly low mileage, there are 13 service stamps in the book, which indicates the fastidious nature of the car’s first owner in particular. For a discerning collector or Aston Martin enthusiast, this is a great opportunity to acquire a significant model in the marque’s history, presented in pristine condition. The vendor also notes that this could be a superb starting point for a conversion to a ‘Vanquish 25’ model by Ian Callum.
