2003 ASTON MARTIN DB7 GTA

This 2003 Aston Martin DB7 GTA is one of just 60 UK-delivered examples from a total of 112 made worldwide. Powered by a 435bhp 6.0-litre V12 paired with the five-speed ZF 5HP30 semi-automatic transmission, which allows manual shifts via steering wheel buttons, this GTA has covered only 40,620 miles from new.

The GTA variant featured a host of special options over the standard car and the GT model above it, with revised bodywork, upgraded suspension, larger Brembo brakes, sports exhaust and more. While several external colour options were available, all GTAs featured Black Oak Wood veneers to the interior with white dials. Finished in Bowland Black with Charcoal leather, this GTA is a diligently maintained, low-mileage example in excellent condition.

First registered on 3 September 2003, this DB7 was delivered new by Statstone Aston Martin London. It has been owned by the vendor for approximately one year, in which time only around 500 miles have been covered.

The Bowland Black exterior presents superbly, with a high gloss and deep shine. The GTA-only details, such as twin bonnet vents, front mesh grille and extended boot spoiler, are in excellent condition, while the engine bay also presents superbly. The car shows clear lenses and very good rubbers all round, with the vendor reporting only one defect in the form of a very small stone chip to the front valance where this meets the bonnet line.

The 18-inch five spoke special GTA wheels are in excellent condition with no marks or kerbing. The optional red brake callipers are in superb condition and add a flash of colour to the exterior.

Moving inside, the Charcoal seats, trimmed with Bridge of Weir leather, are in great condition, with only gentle ageing visible on the front seats and slight wear to the driver’s seat bolster. The rear seats are immaculate, and the GTA-only veneer trim is in excellent condition. The optional lambswool overmats are present and in excellent condition. The car features the Becker/Aston Martin Premium Audio with navigation and the Becker 6-CD changer. The seats are fully electric with memory, are heated and embossed with GTA logos to the head rests. The front screen is heated, and the car has fully functional air conditioning. The vehicle even retains an original optional silver Aston Martin umbrella and full tool kit in the boot. The boot also has the “plug-in” optioned battery conditioner socket.

The car has a full and diligently documented service history, kept in its original leather folder with model and chassis number plaque, a summary of which is below.

The car was most recently serviced in January 2019 at 39,991 miles by Aston Martin Walton-on-Thames, which comprised a full eight-year service. Prior to this, the car received a large amount of work in January 2018, totalling £8,037 and including new brake pads and discs, oil pump, valve guides, ignition coils, cylinder head gaskets, alternator belt pulley, drive belt, various new hoses, anti-roll bar bushes and much more. The steering wheel was even replaced, as were the brake and accelerator pedals, to keep the interior looking fresh.

The car was MOT tested on 8 January 2020 with no advisories, and it is wearing Bridgestone Potenza tyres all round with approximately 7mm of tread. Alongside the extensive service invoices, all tools and the umbrella, the car is sold with all manuals, handbooks, a stamped service book, sales brochures and an Aston Martin trickle charger.

A rare Aston Martin in exceptional condition, this DB7 GTA is a superb example boasting a handsome specification, low mileage and fastidious servicing. As one of just 60 produced for the UK market, this DB7 GTA would be a fine addition to any collection.
