2002 RENAULT CLIO V6 PHASE 1

This one-owner Renault Clio V6 Phase 1 is a truly superb example of the mid-engined hot hatch, which is offered for sale in near-new condition and with incredibly low mileage. It is powered by a 227bhp 3.0-litre V6, which is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and drives the rear wheels. The odometer displays a mere 6,140 km.

As a Phase 1 model, this Clio V6 was assembled by Tom Walkinshaw Racing in Sweden, and is number 1,012 of the 1,513 built. First registered in February 2002, the car is offered for sale in Italy by its first and only keeper.

As you might expect given this Clio’s low mileage, its bodywork is pristine, and the vendor states that it has never suffered from any kind of accident damage. The Iceberg Silver paintwork is also in superb order, with a smooth and glossy appearance around the entire car, and only minor marks to the very bottom edge of the front bumper. It rides on the correct set of 17-inch, 16-spoke alloy wheels, which are unmarked.

Moving inside, the upholstery and trim are entirely original and present excellently. Clad in black leather with Alcantara centre sections and embroidered Renault Sport logos, the supportive sport seats have the slightest hint of creasing to their bolsters, in line with the car’s sparing use, and there is no damage to speak of. All of the interior trim is in great shape, and while there is a very minor scuff to the plastic lower steering column casing, this does not detract from the cabin’s fantastic overall condition. All of the car’s buttons, switches and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

Its most recent routine maintenance was a comprehensive service, which was carried out in August 2018 at 5,481 km by Renault dealer Auto Alpina, Aosta. This included an engine oil change and replacement of the oil, air and fuel filters, as well as the timing belt. Prior to this, the car was serviced in August 2017.

Its last Revisione roadworthiness inspection was conducted on 21 September 2019, when no issues or faults were found. All four of its alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, in size 205/50 ZR17 at the front and 235/45 ZR17 at the rear, which have 95% of their original tread remaining. The car will be accompanied by its full original book pack, including its owner’s manual and service book.

While the Renault Clio V6 is a rare hot hatch in any state, this wonderful example represents the unrepeatable opportunity to acquire a near-new Phase 1 car which has been routinely maintained regardless of its low mileage.
