2002 MITSUBISHI LANCER EVO VII

KEY FACTS

  • A great example of a lauded performance car, with very low mileage and a few tasteful modifications.
  • Under the bonnet is the turbocharged 2.0-litre ‘4G63’ inline-four, producing 276bhp and 284lb-ft of torque in stock form, coupled to the five-speed manual transmission.
  • An original UK-market Lancer Evolution, it has just one previous registered keeper on the logbook and has been meticulously maintained.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • For the seventh generation of the model, the Evo was given a stiffened shell, an active centre differential, and a new front helical limited-slip differential.
  • The cabin is equipped with Recaro seats, air-conditioning, and a heated rear screen; and retains its original three-spoke steering wheel and gear shifter.
  • This example has been fitted with a Blitz Nur-specification stainless steel cat-back exhaust, a HKR racing air induction system, a Turbosmart dual-port blow off valve and a Helix organic clutch.
  • An aftermarket Pioneer head unit has been installed, along with an Alpine subwoofer and speakers.
  • A Sigma S30 alarm and an anti-hijack immobiliser have been fitted.
  • Its original owner’s manuals and service book will be included in the sale, with all services stamped and with invoices, alongside other receipts and all previous MOT certificates to confirm the low mileage.

CONDITION

  • No known bodywork damage.
  • Its original Satellite Silver paintwork is in excellent condition, with just a few very minor stone chips on the wing mirror caps and around the black mesh grille; but overall looking in absolutely fantastic condition for its age.
  • The car has just received a front-end paint protection film (PPF) application carried out by Auto Wax Works at Bicester Heritage.
  • Inside, the black, grey, and blue-accented fabric upholstery of the Recaro bucket seats is in great shape, with signs of use but no heavy wear. The rest of the interior trim is also in very good order.
  • No electrical faults have been detected.
  • The most recent MOT test was on 24 March 2021 at 35,518 miles, which was a first-time pass with no advisories or defects.

SERVICE HISTORY

  • The car has had fresh oil and a new oil filter at every MOT since 2018, and comes with three spare oil filters and three 4-litre cans of oil.
  • At around 33,000 miles, the car received new OEM front brake discs with upgraded front and rear EBC pads.
  • The body panels were given a Waxoyl application and the underside was treated in 2015.
