KEY FACTS

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Created to mark the centenary of Jaguar’s founder Sir William Lyons, each XJR 100 was finished in Anthracite Metallic with charcoal leather upholstery and a five-speed automatic transmission.
• Additional features include red accent stitching throughout the cabin, grey birds-eye maple trim, heated and electrically adjustable sport seats with memory function, rear parking sensors, an Alpine sound system and satellite navigation, auto lights, auto wipers and auto dimming rear mirror
• This example rides on the correct 19-inch ‘Montreal’ alloy wheels, which have recently been refurbished, and are in great shape.
• The car will be supplied with all of its original handbooks, some documentation of its service history and its full tool kit. The original ‘armrest’ phone will be supplied but is currently removed and a deeper cubby fitted to provide more storage.

CONDITION

• During the car’s time with the vendor, the passenger-side rear wheel arch has been cut out and replaced to correct some blistering, but there is no known damage to the bodywork.
• The Anthracite paintwork presents well but does feature various small marks and blemishes in line with the car’s age and mileage, including stone chips around the vehicle and scratches on the door mirror covers.
• Inside, the cabin is in very good condition, with some slight creasing on the seats’ Charcoal leather upholstery, a minor blemish on the base of the passenger seat and a small scuff on the leather-wrapped steering wheel.
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 3 December 2020 at 112,383 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with one advisory for cracking of the nearside front tyre; however this has since been replaced.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This XJR’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in June 2020 at 112,383 miles by independent Jaguar specialist AWJ Automotive. A ‘type A’ service, this included an engine flush and inspection, as well as replacement of various components and parts including the front driver’s-side wheel speed sensor, both front lower ball joints and front lower arm bushes, the supercharger and auxiliary belts, and the driver’s-side front camber bolt.
• Prior to this, a service was performed in May 2019 at 108,782 miles and a full health check was carried out in September 2017.

SUMMARY

Elegant, comfortable and potent, this limited-edition Jaguar XJR 100 is a fine example of the luxurious X308-generation sports saloon. Recently serviced and benefitting from £5,000 of maintenance during the vendor’s nine months of ownership, this ‘brute in a suit’ will make an excellent daily driver or weekend toy for its next owner, transporting them in style to the soundtrack of its 4.0-litre supercharged V8.
