2002 BENTLEY ARNAGE T

This 2002 Bentley Arnage T is a well-cared for luxury saloon, which at its launch was billed as the most powerful road-going Bentley yet. Under the bonnet sits the twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V8, producing around 450bhp and 645lb-ft of torque, coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission.

First registered in June 2002, this Arnage T has been with its current keeper for one year. The odometer currently indicates 57,517 miles from new.

The car’s elegant bodywork is all in good shape, with flush shut lines, smooth panels and no suggestion of any previous damage. It is finished with dark blue paintwork, which presents with some stone chips on the front end and light scratches on the boot lid, plus a few other minor imperfections as shown in the gallery. The chrome body trims, imposing grille and twin exhaust tips present very well, while the car’s refurbished 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels show only some slight wear to the Bentley centre caps.

Inside, the seats are finished with cream leather upholstery, which has some age-related wear and creasing, but no rips in the material. The rear leather is in similarly good condition, though the vendor reports the rear windows are known to stick occasionally. The varnished burr below the window is beginning to crack, but the leather-clad door cards are in good shape. There are no known faults with any of the switchgear.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in November 2020, where technicians at Silver Lady in Brentwood changed the engine oil and filter. Prior to this, Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist N. Sandell in Isleworth carried out similar routine servicing in November 2018 and November 2017.

The most recent MOT test was on 13 November 2020 at 57,283 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The Nexen tyres are reported to be in good condition, with approximately 6mm of tread remaining all round.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manuals and the stamped service book – as shown in the gallery – providing evidence of a main dealer service history up to 2007, and independent maintenance thereafter.

This Bentley Arnage T is a superb high-performance luxury saloon, which boasts a desirable dark blue and cream colour scheme. It has been kept in good mechanical condition by marque specialists in recent years, and would make a sophisticated choice for anyone seeking a refined motorway cruiser.
