2002 ASTON MARTIN DB7 VANTAGE

This Aston Martin DB7 Vantage is a superb example of the stylish and refined British GT, which is finished with a sleek silver and charcoal colour scheme and benefits from a comprehensive annual main dealer and Heritage specialist service history. Under the bonnet sits a 5.9-litre V12 producing 414bhp, which drives the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 77,990 miles from new.

First registered in March 2002, this DB7 has two previous keepers on the log book, though has spent the majority of its life to date with only one of those. It was acquired by the vendor – the third keeper – earlier this year. Not to be confused with neglected and infrequently serviced examples, this DB7 Vantage has been fastidiously cared for exclusively by Aston Martin main dealers and Heritage specialists from new, with 23 services on record.

The sculpted bodywork of this DB7 is painted with an elegant silver finish, which appears in very good condition, with only minor blemishes reported by the owner. The car presents with some small stone chips on the front bumper and some minor marks on both wing mirrors, as visible in the image gallery. The light lenses remain free of age-related clouding or chips, while the car’s body trims and seals all appear in good order. The car rides on the original set of 18-inch 10-spoke wheels, which are in superb condition.

Moving inside, the condition of this DB7’s Charcoal leather upholstery is described by the vendor as excellent, presenting with just some minor wear to the driver’s seat bolster, commensurate with the car’s mileage. The vendor notes the rear seats have never been used and present in very good order. The dashboard is accented with walnut trim, which remains free of any cosmetic scuffs and highlights the centre console superbly. The car comes with electrically adjustable and heated seats, air-conditioning and the original stereo. The only electric foible is the row of LED lights which denote the radio station, which illuminate intermittently.

Accompanied by comprehensive annual service history, the last scheduled maintenance was in July 2019 at 77,442 miles, where technicians at Chiltern Aston Centre in Hemel Hempstead changed the engine oil and filter, and fitted a new front subframe mount. Prior to this, Chiltern Aston Centre carried out similar routine maintenance in July 2018 at 77,167 miles and June 2017 at 76,960 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 19 March 2020 at 77,509 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. In fact, over the last 15 annual MOT tests, covering some 12,000 miles on the road, the car has never failed a test, and has only had two advisories in 2017 and 2018 – testament to its well-maintained condition.

The wheels come wrapped with a set of Bridgestone S02 tyres, which are reportedly now only available from Aston Martin. The vendor reports these were fitted two years ago and still have approximately 7mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manual, stamped service book and original sales letter in their factory leather wallet, as well as a detailed folder pertaining to the vehicle’s maintenance history.
