2001 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI

This 2001 Subaru Impreza WRX STI is a superb low-mileage example of the coveted rally-inspired road car, presented in original and unmodified condition. Under the bonnet sits the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing around 276bhp and 275lb-ft of torque, which drives all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a limited slip differential. The odometer currently indicates 23,496 miles from new.

First registered in January 2001, this Subaru was imported to the UK from Japan in 2004 effectively as a brand-new car – with just 31 miles on the odometer – and was re-registered in August of that year. It is now offered for sale by the trade.

This Impreza’s aggressive bodywork presents very well, and to the best of the vendor’s knowledge, has never sustained any accident damage. The vehicle is finished with neat blue paintwork, and though the vendor indicates some small age-related bubbles and light scuffs are present on the rear spoiler, the overall condition has been described as good. The seller also notes that the front bonnet and wings have benefitted from a respray. The vehicle rides on a set of 17-inch five-arm twin-spoke wheels, which are in very good shape.

The condition of the two-tone blue and black fabric upholstery is generally excellent, with minimal wear commensurate with the low mileage. The floor mats, headlining and door cards are in great shape, while the original stereo system remains present. The black and grey plastic dashboard trim is free of any major scuffs and all of the switchgear is reported to work as it should, with no electrical issues detected.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in February 2021 at 23,466 miles, where technicians at Dream Automotive changed the engine oil, filter and brake fluid, and also carried out a vehicle health check. Prior to this, the last two routine service intervals were carried out by Bell & Colvill in Leatherhead.

The most recent MOT test was on 9 February 2021 at 23,252 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The wheels come wrapped with Bridgestone tyres, which are reported to have between 5-7mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original service book, alongside a full MOT certificate history, a range of maintenance invoices and a genuine Subaru car cover.
