This 2001 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor is a low-mileage example of modern classic roadster, presented with a sleek silver finish and in superb condition throughout. Under the bonnet sits the 2.3-litre supercharged inline-four engine producing around 192bhp and 207lb-ft of torque, coupled with the 5G-Tronic automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates just 34,217 miles from new.

A UK-market car, it was first registered on 14 June 2001, and has two previous keepers on the log book – though the vendor reports that it has just one prior owner. This individual lived on Jersey, so the car has been registered there in the past, though the service work was carried out in the UK.

To the best of the vendor’s knowledge, this SLK has never sustained any damage to its stylish bodywork, while the silver paintwork is believed to be entirely original. It presents with some light stone chips to the front bumper and bonnet, as well as a small patch of rust around the rear window, but remains in very good order on the whole. The vehicle rides on a 16-inch alloy wheels, which have some lacquer damage or kerb grazes in places, so would benefit from refurbishment.

Moving inside, the black upholstery is described as being in excellent condition, presenting with just some light age-related wear to the driver’s bolsters from entering and exiting the vehicle. There is some similar age-related creasing to the door cards and interior handles, though the carpets and floor mats remain in good condition. The original stereo system appears to be present and correct, which along with the remainder of the cabin’s electrics, is reported to be in good working order. It is surrounded by the turned metal style dashboard trim, presenting with minimal surface scratches.

The last service was undertaken in June 2020 at 32,261 miles, where technicians at Buckworth’s Garage in Great Yarmouth carried out an oil change as part of the Service A schedule. Prior to this, in December 2015 at 29,535 miles, One Stop Motorist Centre in Cambridgeshire carried out routine maintenance, and again in December 2013, this time completing a Mercedes Service B.

The most recent MOT test was on 30 June 2020 at 32,261 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects, after a windscreen washer was repaired. The wheels come wrapped in a combination of Hankook and Bridgestone tyres, which appear in good condition.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manual, stereo booklet and service book in their factory wallet, as well as a range of invoices and MOT certificates.
