2001 MASERATI 3200 GT ASSETTO CORSA - MANUAL

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• Developed with the intention of delivering a more engaging and driver focused grand tourer, the Assetto Corsa handling package incorporated lower and stiffer springs, a thicker front anti-roll bar, brake ventilation ducts, uprated brake pads, and a sharper steering rack.
• Just 259 cars were built with the Assetto Corsa package; only 75 were sold in the UK, and only 163 from the total were equipped with a manual transmission.
• This highly original example has been in its current ownership since 2004. The only modification from factory specification is the addition of Larini sports tailpipes.
• Presented for sale with the original manuals, stamped service record, and spare key.

CONDITION

• No known body damage of note. There is a small dent on the passenger side rear quarter, and another minor dent on the driver’s side rear wheel arch.
• Reported to be in good overall condition, the metallic black Nero Carbonio paintwork does show some signs of the car’s age and use. There are some small scratches to the bumpers, chips on the front end, the driver’s door edge is marked, and the passenger door has a chip to the paint. Both wing mirrors have paint blemishes and all four of the wheel centre caps have some paint missing.
• Luxuriously appointed in black leather, with red piping and carbon-fibre centre console trim, the original interior has some minor wear to the seat upholstery, with slightly more noticeable creasing on the bolsters. There is some wear to the steering wheel, and the leather on the passenger air bag cover is lifting slightly.
• The driver’s door speaker grille is cracked, the cover for the tweeter is loose and the plastic around the ignition barrel is scratched. Various plastic trims around the cabin have the common ‘sticky finish’, which is a known foible of Italian cars of this era in particular.
• There are no reported mechanical or electrical faults.
• The most recent MOT test was on 15 June 2021 at 44,565 miles, which resulted in a clean first-time pass with no advisories whatsoever.

 SERVICE HISTORY

• The most recent annual service included an engine oil and filter change and was completed in July 2021 by Joe Macari Performance Cars of London at 44,589 miles.
