2001 BENTLEY AZURE

KEY FACTS

• A refined and opulent convertible grand tourer, with very low mileage.
• It is equipped with the 6.75-litre turbocharged V8, producing around 385bhp and 553lb-ft of torque, coupled with the four-speed GM automatic transmission.
• It was imported to the UK from Florida in 2014 by Bentley specialist Hanwells of London for television presenter Noel Edmonds. The vendor acquired the car in late 2015.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• This Azure is equipped with dual-zone climate control, electrically adjusted heated seats, cruise control, and an aftermarket Clarion stereo system.
• Its original owner’s manuals, service book and toolkit will be supplied, along with a raft of maintenance invoices. The original specification print-out from Bentley is also included.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• A minor defect has been reported to one of the roof wires, though this does not impact the operation of the retractable soft-top.
• Its black paintwork is in generally excellent condition, as shown in the photo gallery below.
• The soundproofing panel on the underside of the bonnet has a patch of wear, where it has come into contact with the engine.
• Inside, the Tangier leather upholstery is in very good shape, with the Bentley logo embossed into the seat headrests, and the seats all showing minimal signs of use.
• There is a small crack in the wood veneer to the centre console panel.
• No electrical faults have been detected.
• The most recent MOT test was on 27 July 2020 at 33,756 miles, which was a pass with one minor defect regarding a worn front track rod end ball joint dust cover, and three advisories to monitor a minor oil leak, slight play in the nearside front wheel bearing and central front play in the steering rack inner joints.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Its most recent maintenance was in March 2021, where technicians at Bentley and Rolls-Royce specialist PME Engineering rectified a noise under braking, adjusting the mount link arm and tightening the crossmember bush.
• Four new tyres were fitted in July 2020.
• In January 2019, a new battery was installed, the ECU was repaired, a leaking subframe damper was replaced, and the parking linkage was attended to.
