• A unique example of the lightweight sports car, transformed by the addition of a potent Audi engine and now boasting a power-to-weight ratio of around 448bhp per tonne.
  • Under the engine lid sits a 1.8-litre turbocharged Audi inline-four, producing around 350bhp, delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.
  • The car also benefits from significant upgrades to the brakes and suspension.
  • Only 7,000 miles have been covered since the Audi engine conversion.
  • It has had just one private owner from new, and is now offered by the trade.

  • This Exige is finished in Phantom Black over a performance-focused cabin equipped with aftermarket MOG Evo carbon-fibre racing seats finished with Reverie red leather inserts and red Luke racing harnesses.
  • It rides on its original black-finished 16-inch alloy wheels, shod with Toyo tyres.
  • As well as its turbocharged Audi engine, the car has also been modified with the addition of an upgraded clutch, Jenvey throttle body, a six-speed transmission, a Quaife ATB limited-slip differential, Nitron adjustable suspension and uprated brake discs.
  • The car is accompanied by a folder documenting its upgrades and associated receipts for over £21,000 of maintenance and modifications.

  • Prior to this, in April 2016 at 44,509 miles Gugliemi Motorsport carried out a major service which included rebuilding of the Nitron suspension and replacement of the cambelt, at a total cost of £2,482.84.

Upgraded to a high standard, this Lotus Exige S1 remains a thoroughly engaging, lightweight sports car, with the added benefit of a greater power-to-weight ratio than a Porsche Carrera GT. Fully track-prepared and presented in smart overall condition, this Exige would make a truly formidable circuit toy, and remains entirely road-legal should its next owner wish to experience its impressive performance on the public highway.
