This Jaguar XKR coupe is a fast yet refined 2+2 grand tourer, presented with a sleek Silver Metallic finish, Ivory leather upholstery and low mileage. Under the bonnet lies a supercharged 4.0-litre V8 engine, sending 370bhp to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 56,557 miles from new.

An original 2000 model-year right-hand drive car, this XKR was supplied to its first owner in France in late 1999, and is assumed to have been kept on export plates before being driven back to the UK and first registered in March 2000. The history file with the car shows it was temporary exported back to France in July 2012 – with services taking place there in 2012 and 2013 – before coming back to the UK in recent years. It has been with its current owner for one year, with four previous registered keepers on the log book.

The bodywork of this XKR is in great shape, with no evidence of any panel damage and no reports from the vendor of any prior accidents. Its Silver Metallic paintwork presents very well for its age and retains a handsome shine. The vehicle rides on 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, which present with a few blemishes and some bubbling around the rims. Overall though, this is a smartly presented example of the marque’s millennium-era sporting GT.

Inside, the cabin is upholstered with Ivory leather, with walnut trim fitted across the dashboard, the gear selector surround, steering wheel, and door cards. The seats present with some light creasing to the bolsters commensurate to the car’s age, but the cabin retains its luxurious British charm and the controls remain in excellent condition. The rear seats are also in great shape. Factory equipment on this XKR includes climate control, cruise control and electric door mirrors. There are no reported faults with any controls or electrics, and no warning lights present on the dashboard.

The last service was undertaken in March 2020 at 56,378 miles by John Garrett in Basingstoke, where the engine oil and filters were changed, before new roll bar bushes and drop links were fitted. The car was in France for most of 2012 to 2020, and there are two stamped services from this period, as well as a third maintenance record from 2014 when the timing belt, tensioners and water pump were replaced.

The most recent MOT was on 29 June 2020 at 56,415 miles, which resulted in a pass with the tester noting only the presence of factory-fitted undertrays and covers. The vehicle’s 18-inch alloys are wrapped in Pirelli tyres all round, with around 5mm of tread remaining on all four corners, though they are date-coded to 2006 and 2007.

Accompanying the car are the original XKR handbook, audio system handbook and vehicle care guide, as well as a fully documented maintenance history, a NavTrak security system and two keys. Furthermore, the cherished registration of ‘W700 XKR’ is also included in the sale.

This Jaguar XKR is a stylish and luxurious coupe, with irresistible charm and a characterful 4.0-litre V8. Supported by a comprehensive service history in the UK, and several records from its recent time spent in France, this is a genuinely low-mileage example which could be put into service as a modern classic daily driver, or kept to enjoy on sunny weekends and longer road trips.
