EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Like all genuine 50th Anniversary models, this Defender is finished with Atlantis Blue paintwork, and has the factory-fitted partial roll cage, as well as many unique interior features.
• After being handed over to the team at Overfinch in April 2003, it was fitted with the GM-derived 5.7-litre ‘570 HSi’ V8 engine with ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds, and the suspension, brakes and gearbox were replaced with uprated components to account for the car’s increased power.
• Inside, the door cards are now trimmed in perforated leather, the original front seats have been replaced with partially leather-trimmed Recaro bucket seats, and the four inward-facing rear seats have been changed for two more luxurious front-facing items.
• Furthermore, the original steering wheel has been replaced by a black Alcantara-wrapped Momo item, the side windows have been upgraded from manual to electric operation, and the windscreen has been replaced with a heated item.
• It rides on a set of 18-inch, five-spoke Overfinch alloy wheels, which are finished in metallic grey with diamond-cut faces, and are unmarked.
• This Defender will be accompanied by a folder full of invoices for its Overfinch conversion, which had a total cost of more than £60,000.
• The car’s cherished and appropriate ‘S1 OVF’ registration is also included in the sale.

CONDITION

• There is no impact damage present on the bodywork.
• Fully resprayed in May 2020, the Atlantis Blue paintwork is in generally excellent condition, with some minor stone chips and small blemishes around the vehicle, in line with its use.
• Inside, the cabin presents very well, with no apparent wear on the black leather-trimmed Recaro sports seats.
• The steering wheel displays some minor discolouration and the stitching on the gear selector appears to be slightly frayed, but it is still in very good order its age.
• There are no known faults with the car, and no warning lights on the dashboard.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 11 March 2021, which it passed after initially failing due to the absence of catalytic converters. A worn ball joint rubber dust cover was recorded as a minor defect, which has since been rectified.

• This Defender 90’s most recent routine maintenance was a major service, which was carried out in March 2021.
• Prior to this, the car was serviced in 2016 at 48,487 miles.
