• The car is believed to remain original and unmodified throughout.

CONDITION

• There is no known prior bodywork damage.

• Its Verde Silverstone Metallic paintwork is in good condition, though there are various blemishes in the finish. The most noticeable are scuff marks and scratches on the front bumper, chips around the trailing edge of the driver’s door, and some small stone chips around the lower body.

• The windscreen and side windows all carry the original etchings matching the chassis number. A few minor chips and kerb grazes are present on the original alloys, but they are in generally good order.

• There is some delamination around the edges of the rear screen.

• Its cabin presents in good condition for its age, with the driver’s seat outer bolster showing some surface wear, some marks on the passenger seat base, and with general creasing throughout. The left rear seat has a large stain on the base, which could be rectified with a re-colouring treatment. There is also very slight sagging in the headliner above the front passenger seat.

• Its Bridgestone Expedia tyres are matching and appear to have ample tread, but are date-coded to 2010 and 2011.

• There are no known electrical faults.

• The most recent MOT test was on 23 April 2021 at 46,335 miles, which it passed after an emissions issue and a fault with the passenger door release were rectified. A number of advisories were cited, including an oil leak and PAS fluid leak, wear to the offside rear anti-roll bar ball joint and nearside rear shock absorber, some corrosion on the fuel and brake lines, worn rear suspension bushes, and cuts in two of the tyres.

• The car is fresh from a full service and cam belt change carried out at Ferrari specialist Stradale Italia in Staffordshire earlier this year.

• There is no other service history paperwork with the car as it has been misplaced, but a prior listing for this particular 456 GT online from 2016 suggests that it had excellent maintenance history at that point.

SUMMARY

This Ferrari 456 GT is an involving and sophisticated grand tourer, equipped with the sought-after gated manual transmission, which is presented in generally very good order. It would now benefit from some minor cosmetic TLC plus mechanical attention to rectify the MOT advisories in due course.
