KEY FACTS

• A low-mileage example of the rare 1990s supercar, presented in excellent condition.
• Under the engine lid is the 434bhp 4.9-litre naturally aspirated flat-12, which features a lightweight crankshaft and titanium con rods, and drives the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
• The odometer displays just 27,599 km from new.
• A left-hand drive example, this F512 M is believed to have been delivered to the Netherlands via Kroymans, before being exported to Japan in 2003. It was then imported into the UK in 2015 and re-registered with the DVLA in March 2016, before being acquired by the seller two years ago.
• In total, only 501 F512 Ms were produced during the car’s two-year production run.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• The final iteration of the iconic Ferrari Testarossa, the updated F512 M was launched at the 1994 Paris Motor Show, and featured a revised, more powerful engine, lightweight suspension components and uprated brakes.
• Perhaps most notably, the F512 M featured extensively redesigned bodywork, with fixed headlights in place of the Testarossa and 512 TR’s pop-up units, an updated front bumper and twin NACA ducts on the bonnet/front lid, while the front and rear wings were formed from aluminium rather than steel to help reduce the car’s weight.
• This example is finished in the archetypal Ferrari colour combination of Rosso Corsa over a Nero leather interior, and rides on the correct set of 18-inch split-rim alloy wheels, which are in good shape but feature some minor blemishes and kerb scuffs on their rims, making them good candidates for refurbishment.
• The car will be accompanied by its correct owner’s manual, documentation of its Japanese service history from 2003 to 2015, invoices for its maintenance since it arrived in the UK and a CD containing various photographs of its previous ‘engine-out’ services.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• The Rosso Corsa paintwork is in excellent condition given the car’s age, with a few stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper, as well as minor bubbling flaking of the black finish beneath the signature side strakes.
• Inside, the cabin is in superb order, and while there is some general light creasing on the seats’ leather upholstery and minor wear on the driver’s outer bolster, this is in keeping with the car’s use.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults with the vehicle, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 1 April 2021 at 27,581km, which resulted in a first-time pass. One advisory was issued for slight play in the offside rear anti-roll bar ball joint; however the seller had both rear joints replaced later that same month.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This F512 M’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in January 2019 at 26,742km by independent Ferrari specialist SB Race Engineering, whose technicians performed a major service including a cam belt change.
• Prior to this, the cam belts were changed and a major service was carried out in October 2015 at 26,482km, when the cam cover seals and gaskets, the rear shock absorber bushes, and the front spring platforms were also replaced.
