1995 FERRARI 456 GT - MANUAL

This 1995 Ferrari 456 GT is a fantastic example of the marque’s renowned grand tourer, presented in a beautiful colour scheme and in superb condition throughout. It is equipped with the 436bhp 5.5-litre V12, coupled with the rare and sought-after six-speed manual transmission. The odometer currently indicates 99,742 km (61,977 miles) from new.

While this is a ‘B code’ left-hand drive European specification car, it was delivered new to the UK, and was first registered in June 1995. The third owner, who kept the car for 12 years, was a British F1 engineer who used the car to attend European Grand Prix while based in Barcelona for the season, so many of the miles have been covered on relaxed cross-continental journeys. This 456 GT has been with its current keeper for four years.

The bodywork is all in excellent shape, and it is finished in the elegant Blu Swaters hue. The paintwork is believed to be entirely original, presenting with just a few age-related stone chips on the front end, a couple of light marks near the boot lid and some small scratches around the exhaust openings. The charming pop-up headlamps appear to be in good working order, while the vehicle rides on a set of 17-inch alloy wheels, which would benefit from refurbishment to match the quality of the bodywork.

Inside, the Crema leather upholstery is described as being in excellent condition, with the vendor reporting just some slight rippling above the passenger airbag. The re-connolised front seats feature some very light creasing, though they have developed an attractive patina and the leather-clad door cards look pristine. The 456 GT’s manual gear lever has a glorious open-gate shift, and along with the rest of the cabin’s key contact points, it presents very well. An aftermarket Parrot hands-free system has been installed, and no electrical faults have been detected.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in May 2017 at 98,185 km, where technicians at Brooke Garage in Norwich changed the engine oil and filter. Prior to this, similar routine maintenance was undertaken in April 2014 at 95,525 km, and in August 2011 at 77,223 km, where the timing and auxiliary drive belts were also changed.

The most recent MOT test was on 12 October 2020 at 99,741 km, which resulted in a pass with two advisories to monitor some play in the offside front steering rack joint and a light misting of oil on the offside rear shock absorber. The Bridgestone tyres are in good condition, with between 5.5-7.5mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s handbooks, the stamped warranty and service record, sales brochure, the factory toolkit, and a large file of maintenance invoices.

This Ferrari 456 GT is a superb modern grand tourer, which benefits from a comprehensive maintenance history and is presented in excellent condition throughout. A well-preserved example of the breed, equipped with the desirable manual transmission for greater driver involvement, this 456 would make a sublime motorway cruiser or an endearing companion along sweeping and twisting roads.
